Talking 3rd party has its own downsides but that's a completely different game..
Take insomniac with so or remedy with qb.. How exactly are those games ANY different to you knowing ms doesn't own them?
And don't talk complete crap about ms not going for games like journey or uncharted, that's a complete load of crap.
Its also very naive to think sony gives free reign and total control to studios they own.. If ND doesn't ...
So that's now 3 people that can't find a reason it matters to the gamer..
Stop worrying about their business decisions that don't affect you..
And BTW.. You made a case against 3rd party exclusive deals and NOTHING to do with first party benefitting you more then a 2nd party game
Well yay for you.. Lol
Who gives a crap about metacritic? Your opinion means more then my own? (Not you, but anyone)
After plenty of time to play it through alpha and two betas, I'm picking it up tonight based on my time playing it.. Not some random persons opinion that could be the exact opposite of my own
Seem fine last night.. Streamers I was watching right after midnight all had disconnects but roommate played all night and never got dropped.
But the content is always there.. And games come and go..
Titanfalls impact would have been exactly the same if they were first party.. The only impact there is Sony gamers will get to play their next game as well as Xbox gamers.. That's a win for everyone involved as I see it.
Having content is important, how you get it isn't. There are pros and cons for the platform holder, but really irrelevant to the gamer.
We can agree to disagr...
Congrats to you both, neither one of you actually offered up anything that the consumer needs to worry about.. Shocker!
You seem to think I or anyone else needs to worry about a dev shopping their game to a publisher.. That's their business and problem.
If naughty dog was a 2nd party, you wouldn't of enjoyed the last of us or uncharted? Or maybe you think only Sony would put up money for those games? You're delusional
Why is it required that they own a studio? Wouldn't it be better for the developer to keep their freedom an simply work with ms on a game by game basis?
It certainly doesnt matter to a Xbox gamer who remedy is owned by, for example. they just want qb.
You apparently don't know what fact means.
K.. I'll bite..
Explain to me how the owner of a studio matters to you, the gamer?
People act like if you makes games, you deserve a job for life no matter any other real world issues the rest of us all deal with..
Tell me when you find a job that pays you forever no matter your performance or usefulness
Love how you conveniently ignore the studios they've formed in the last couple years..
Lionhead has done what exactly in the last how many years? A f2p fable that obviously isn't good enough to release or they would be
They could.. It doesn't mean every single asset is worth keeping.. Employing studios isn't a charity and the posting on Xbox stated they would help people find new jobs within xbox
Omg.. Who cares!? Lol
If you are in doubt, don't buy the game on day one.. Wait for day two or three when you'll have all the reviews you want..
People seem very impatient to even make this an issue
ugh.. another one of these, really?
xbox live has never been "down" to my knowledge.. ever.
it has issues that effect certain areas, but even during the xmas ddos attacks, it never went down completely.
Because then you're playing unoptimized PC versions of games when the console versions are arguably better. You aren't at the mercy of a bad driver or a hardware conflict.. You don't start GPU shopping every time you get a new game or worrying about hackers etc
Playing Xbox exclusives alone isn't going to turn a console gamer into a PC gamer just like that.. Game sales are generally showing exclusives don't hold the weight they once did so why not sell you...
They were clear huh? Then how come you still dont understand it?
fair enough.. but does that mean its better to hate on everything they try? i dont think so..
they've tried alot of ideas that didnt actually pan out but i hope they keep trying
even this upgrade idea, thats all it is.. an idea that might not ever happen like the retail dev kits
i dont think the upgrade route would be fully sustainable.. more like a mid-gen bump once then a new console is required to bring everyone up to par.
ill look at it for today.. we get alot of games at 900p and thats fine for me to be perfectly honest.. but some really want 1080 native, they could get it with this path if they choose.. it seems like a logical move given what happened this gen
rumor had it that ps4 had 4gb of ram etc, ms plans for their console...
That was never really the point of consoles.. Just a side benefit for giving devs fixed hardware to work with..
And you can still do that if you choose.. But why not have it both ways? Stay stock or upgrade as you wish
