@Orchad
Neither did Hulst, he is head of the studios, you think that the cross gen thing has come from Ryan? Or the man in charge of running the studios?
Most likely the man running the studios.
That's assuming you haven't done the deal already.
I did about a year ago, and when I bought a year of Xbox Live recently it converted it to just 4 months of GPU.
@activision
You do know sales happen? I like Game Pass, and yes it's "cheaper" than buying 2 games pre sale.
But it also gives you choice, flexibility, again I like Game Pass, but there is a lot of guff on there, there is also some AAA games that's I've either already played/owned on my PS4, or just not for me.
I'd rather pay more and chose when I get the game then hope it comes to game pass.

@DjStotty
The fact they bundle live with GP in Ultimate is one way for a start.
By continuing to offer below par/ old games they try to make Game Pass more attractive.
Before Game Pass, Live was their biggest service (possibly still is) but they want Game Pass (well ultimate) to be king, they will probably want close to 100% adoption rate on Xbox consoles as possible.
So how do they do that, simple.
...
It's an unpopular opinion as most of it isn't true.
Doom is an old style shooter and has done well.
I wouldn't underestimate the power of nostalgia. TS is very different to most shooters, which can help it stand out.
That's IF it's done right of course.
Scummy Nintendo in scummy move shocker.
And next in the news, water makes things wet.
@Magog
It probably won't, they just devalue the conversion.
I bought a years of Gold, and it only converted to 3 months UGP.
@atom66
They would probably still get their 30% DLC, which is where the platform holder makes even more money.
Cutting out the first sale wouldn't be huge as I would guess most people own Minecraft already.
Also maybe not 30%, but a bit lower cut might be on the cards of Xcloud/ Gamepass.
Again GP/Xcloud tends to not have DLC included, so the platform holder could still make money.
Played it on Xbox, it was pretty meh tbh.
He isn't saying you have no right to buy a game cheap.
He's saying you have no right to moan if a publisher decides a sequel isn't worth the money, if you bought the game cheap.
If you bought it day one, you're not who he has the issue with, your wants for a sequel are valid.
Unfortunately, as he says, there wasn't enough of you to convince Sony.
@iamalwayswrong
"supported these developers with their hard earned money"
Months after and less than those who did at launch. That support isn't enough to convince the publisher to invest in a sequel.
And that's who makes the decision, the publisher not the developer.
@gamingtext
"Sometimes the best choice is to wait for a sale."
And people are more than entitled to do that, but his point is, the same people can't then expect a game people only bought cheap to get a sequel.
If you accept that by buying cheaper you effectively have no baring on if the game gets a sequel and no amount of crying on the internet will change that.
Then there isn't a problem.
@rocosaurus
"A lot of people"
Define a lot.
@king
Yeah huge games.... Oh wait a load of Indies that were going to release games on platform with a tiny active user base.
Yeah a big deal.
@neo
Whataboutary.
The thing is we all know that Sony and MS will drop the prices in sales.
In fact TLOU Remaster is now on a permanent price drop on PSN of £15.99 and has been as low as £8.99 on sale.
Name me one Nintnedo First Party game port that has been as low as £8.99.
You can't
So your attempt to defend Nintnedo is pathetic. Other companies at least give you the op...
@sonic
Plus and Game Pass are not comparable at all
Plus:
Cheaper
Required to play online
Monthly games (usually old, unless it's an indie game)
GP
Lots more game
More expensive
Doesn't include online (unless you get ultimate)
Has all MS first party titles on it, and they launch on day one.
Not comparable in the slightest. The nearest you get to g...
Depends on how they do it, I mean realistically they could stuff at least half of the original game plot wise into the part 2.
Just take out the the open world and have them moving from town to town.
I went in with zero expectations and was still disappointed.
This is what dissapointing to me, was hoping a PS5 sequel would push the gameplay.
Graphics and lighting are nice, and so is the no doubt faster loading.
But there is nothing gameplay wise that is new, nothing that "can't be done on PS4".
Will still get the game, but still dissapointed.
