"The problem with game subscriptions is that the potential subscriber base is too small"

This is true, but, with a subscription/cloud gaming. You're potentially opening up to a lot more people.

Think about how many people drop off from gaming due to other factors in life taking up their time? Now with cloud gaming and a sub you tackle two issues, money and time.

A sub will be a cheaper point of entry, and b...

"Literally all they've done is merge PS+ with PS Now"

And added 400 PS4 and PS5 games to the service.

As well as adding PS1, PS2 and PSP games.

"They can't even put in the effort to make PS3 games playable on PS5"

Is it even doable? I mean if you KNOW it's possible then yes they lack effort...

But if it can't be done then it's simp...

This is a leak, not a rumor.

1199d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

This isn't a rumour some "anonymous source" has reported.

This is information hidden by Nvidia that's been found. So it's more of a leak.

A rumour usually has no factual evidence. Where as a leak has genuine information that can be verified.

Yes but if you have a switch you have a portable version.

GTA on the go? Sweet
Skyrim on the go? Again great

Very few people have just the Switch. You can always double dip on games you have on your main hardware for fun on the go.

I only think it needs two things.

Being able to skip the story entirely.

Or fully voice acted story...Which can be skipped.

But the Xbox brand isn't.

IF the character is likeable and fits the story then sure why not.

But just half arsing it in the hope of getting good press (which it will either way) then nope.

I will be honest I thought I'd hate Franklin and Trevor. I thought they would go the typical "gang banger" with Franklin, but the fact they didn't and he hated that life made me like him more.

Same with Trevor I thought he would just be the low brow "phy...

"For the casuals that are the biggest buyers that doesn't matter."

Errrrmmmm....Proof?

You're assuming a "casual" would just walk in and go "oh new Xbox" and drop cash without knowing what it does, what games it has/is getting?

That is the most stupidest theory's I have ever heard. People don't just spend £400+ on something they know nothing about.

"By throwing out a number of downloads on GamePass?"

Kinda. You just have to look at sub numbers.
That's all that matters to MS now, and if they have say 20m of the current 25m GP subs play the game then there is a good chance those 20m will stay subscribed for longer.

Especially when the "upgrade for $1" offer is no longer valid and people start going to a monthly rolling sub.

In theory, in reality PC gamers will only buy the game when it heavily discounted.

"finally see it and appreciate there is more to their gaming than just the console space. "

And it's a shame that appreciation will go largely unnoticed by the PC gamers as it will sell okay at full price and it won't be until it's heavily discounted that it will sell "well".

Because as already shown with Horizon, and Days Gone, PC gamers are yet to put their money where their mouths are.

"lack of content"

Maybe if gamers didn't have the attention span of a small child.

The game hasn't even been out long. And they need new maps and weapons already?

No wonder games as a service is a thing.

I have and always will dislike COD, they made it about time spent rather than skill.

If you're better than me in at level 1 it's down to skill. But if you don't play and only get to level 3 and I get to (just say 300) chances are my guns and perks etc I will kill you more than you kill me.

Overwatch is a good example of a game that does require skill. I have 800+ hours on that game, but some players in that game are unr...
