That is very untrue. It wasn't like that back in the day where you had Nintendo Power magazine and Electronic Gaming Monthly. They just showcased games. They didn't do TurboGrafx 16 compared to Nintendo articles. Or Sega Master System versus Nintendo. That didn't start till around Mortal Kombat came out. Genesis had blood, but poorer graphics and SNES had sweat and looked somewhat just like the arcade.
