I really see no reason why they have to include the boring sci-fi stuff in AC.
God I hope Nintendo does something smart and gets rid of Iwata.
Thank You!
exactly!
@Acesonnall
If the Wii-U was part of, "the best things" I would already have purchased one.
I would certainly purchase a Wii-U at $200 with the pro controller instead of the gamepad.
While Nintendo sold more Wii models in the short term, it's now dead. PS3/360 have are long term devices that are still getting the latest 3rd party titles. While the casual crowd brought big sales in the short term, they don't purchase software consistently like the hard core. Sony and Microsoft noticed that.
Maybe the next gen versions will now run at 60fps?
Devs care about sales and the Wii U at the moment is a bad investment. Not just that, but the majority of Nintendo console owners haven't been as consistent in buying software compared to owners of 360/PS3.
While it's great to innovate, Nintendo keeps trying to reinvent the wheel or find the next gimmick. I wish they came out with a robust console with a less radical controller (like the pro controller) with first party ips come out at a good pace. Besides Mario, how about star fox, Fzero, metroid, etc... This focus on this expensive controller has been a failure. Come out with a sku with just the console and pro controller. They'll be able to sell it for much less (seeing the game pad c...
Don't see any appeal in this, but good luck to the dev.
I would take the opposite, especially for consoles since they are normally enjoyed on a television at a far distance so the dimensions aren't as noticeable oppose to pc gaming upclose on monitors.
There isn't a game I can think of that wasn't better running at 60fps. There are no disadvantages for 60fps. It should be the standard.
"officialnintendomagazine .co.uk" ok....
Based off of the upcoming systems and games it's obvious that it's about improvement in performance and functionality of existing ideas/principles/hardware. Nintendo tried to reinvent the wheel with the gamepad which isn't inherently a bad thing, but it's flawed. So far, it's come off as a gimmick. An expensive controller that in many cases, requires you in games to take your eyes off the main screen for extended periods of time, to perform task that would be easy enough b...
No one has made the gamepad appealing or made the case that it enhances gameplay. The most use people have gotten from it is using it as a drawing tablet.
made sure to download this before it gets taken down.
Here's also a download showcasing Dark Souls running at 60fps.

Yes, it's so beautiful and smooth. :3
I can't think of a game that wasn't better at 60fps than 30fps. For example, when the 60fps unlock came out for Dark Souls Prepare to die Edition it was like experiencing the game for the first time again.... I couldn't go back. I'd rather have developers of next gen games strive for 720p/60fps than 1080p/30fps. Though I do game on pc as well so maybe I'm a little spoiled? To end, 60fps in my opinion should be the standard for next gen. Not only does it make the game feel ...
In terms of console hardware, they are irrelevant. At this point, the WiiU will never be success Nintendo hoped it would be. The question is whether they should continue to make home consoles? Will the stock holders even allow them? At the moment, I think they should cut the cost on the WiiU as much as possible by taking out the second screen tech and gamepad. After cutting the cost, have a bundle with the new Mario kart with the pro controller. They should continue to invest in handhelds, b...
