@dj7fairytail
Part of your response about winning is incoherent. As for quality hardware... Both of those sytems were pretty reliable at the time. I don't understand your reason for bringing it up. I was referring to power in hardware. Both make quality products though Sony has more experience in this field. You said n64 and GC were power houses, but during the time/gens for both of these systems there was no huge power gap. The gap increased dramatically when wii came out a...
@MasterCratosKong66
Nintendo having subpar hardware has a hand in longevity, the gamepad is mandatory and cost $120 to replace(the price could have been much lower without it/tech and used for power), downloadable games are tied to the system rather than the account, and lastly the lack of third party support (if it continues) will aid in a premature death of the console.
Off tv play is more of a gimmick and should be optional. Nintendo was clearly hoping for another W...
The reason is that while Nintendo games are good, they've been lacking in quality hardware, services, and policies. I'm having a hard time finding value in the Wii-U over the competition. I don't want another wii that's going to become paper weight after smash and wii sports have been played out (not that those were the only games played). The wii is already dead(support) and didn't have the longevity of the PS360.
Sony isn't falling behind in hardware and services like Nintendo so the comparison is invalid. Playing games is great, but I also look for long term value in the products I purchase and the Wii-U isn't making the case.
I like Nintendo software, but am not fond of their sub par hardware and services. Nintendo going third party would be so convenient. Wishful thinking? Probably, but I'm not itching for a Wii-U at the moment.
Nintendo needs to get rid of this guy. Bring in some new blood.
It's nonsensical actions like this that makes me think Nintendo needs new blood/leadership.
Buying all 3 isn't really practical.So I go for the best perceived value for my money. Right now, the ps4 is a buy. I can live without the other two to be honest.
They need to make a petition to change the downloable game policy over this. It's such a rip that downloable games are tied to system instead of account.
Sorry to be vulgur, but fuck Randy Pitchford. Until Gearbox issues an official appology about the game, I will never give them another dime.
@Prime_28
Yeah they can, but will they?
Though downloable games on WiiU are tied to the system rather than accounts. That could be deal breaker for average consumers. Nintendo really needs to revise their network policy.
I do expect a pricedrop near the holidays for Wii U and an increase in sales, but I it will pale in comparison to the PS4/Xbox One.
Why? Preorder numbers, features, online functionality and network/account policy, guaranteed third party support, expected media options, power that in turn will lead to longevity/support, a focus on triple A and indie(more so on Sony), advertising, etc... In my eyes an associate would have no problem in a store making the case to curious consume...
yummy disagrees :3
meh, I can live without it. That said, I wish them luck.
A shame... I think Nintendo could use some new blood.
Ubisoft had an investor meeting right after E3 where they saw the Nintendo announcing a price drop on the Wii-U closer to holiday season.
Edit: I see you already posted the link.

Here's an article referring to the situation I posted.
Well they did say that they were going scale back support after e3.
I think it's vocal minority making this more of an issue than really is. If the majority of consumers have a problem with a game than they shouldn't buy it and support the ones that are more in line with their ideals. Game devs/artist shouldnt be censored and consumers should vote with their wallets. I see nothing wrong with the majority of games coming out these days because they're catering to an audience and I respects their artistic vision.
