After you adjust your graphics sit back and enjoy with a shmoke and a pancake...
Hate to be that guy but I also had zero problems downloading the patches and launching the game. How you ask? Simple. Day one patches on PC are the norm. So I logged on to GTA V via Social Club 1 hr early to check for day one updates.
Sure enough, 2 patches were required to start. I downloaded them in less than 5 minutes and was ready to go at exactly 7pm. Again not to sound arrogant, but if you are new to PC gaming and you preload a game, start doing this a few hours before ...
Yes. Regardless of the version purchased both use Rock Star Social Club for multiplayer.
1920s Chicago/New York/Atlantic City would be kind of cool. Fighting Gangsters and organized crime.
A PC Version was planned since day 1. Even Rockstar themselves confirmed this recently...
Energy cost is debatable. Depends on how many hours you log on each device and total power draw from those devices. PC has power saving features if you aren't gaming so it fluctuates.
PS+ is great for sure I had it for my vita, but you don't get games for free. With PS+ you are in a sense renting them permanently as long as you keep forking over $60 a year. Don't renew you PS+? Loose access to your 'free games'.
So Sony decided its better ...
For those saying the PC is missing an OS consider it a wash. PC needs an OS ( roughly $60) but FREE multiplayer. PS4 no OS required but you need to pay $60 annually for multiplayer. So over the life of your PS4 you technically pay $300 extra just for multiplayer. Or in other words the cost of a high end video card :D.
How else are you suppose to get 60GB of data to the user? Not everyone has a bluray drive in thier PC.
1) 3rd person view
2) No micro transactions
No shock here. Digital downloads are becoming the norm. Publishers save money not having to create direction booklets, box art, and packaging. They've convinced people that you no longer need the box and disc by degrading the product over the years. Remember when Xbox 360 released the 'eco case'. It was a cost saving not earth saving feature...
If anyone is interested when you buy a GTX 970/980 series Nvidia card, Witcher III is included. So if you want this game and are in need of a video card upgrade now would be a good time. Think of it as $60.00 off that new card ;). I almost sold the code to a friend, but glad I researched it first. Looks great !
I was wondering why the launchers countdown was off. Awesome news !
How has the footage from that gamestop event not been leaked yet? I would of thought for sure it would have been by now. Oh well, just wait till next week I suppose.
4K is all hype IMO. I don't see the benefit with adding more pixels at the sacrifice of fps/visuals not to mention the incredible cost and power needed to get 4k running at respectable quality. 1080p/1440p with a 144hz G-sync monitor is stunning and at a fraction of the cost.
Besides many games today are not even optimized for 4k resolutions. GTA V seems to be one of the first on the PC that does however, but I doubt the gains over a solid 1080p/1440p setup are worth the ...
The article really doesn't go into specifics. OK what about texture quality, lighting effects, traffic and pedestrian density, or draw distance? So a GTX 660 will give you 60fps @ 1080P, great. What do the visuals look like? We talking low, medium or high here? My guess is closer to low-medium with that card.
@martinezjesus1993 Thanks for beta testing it for us !
Wow. It looks like a brand new game. Would def buy if a remastered version looked like this.
DC looks fantastic, however the build of Project Cars being used is quite old, so it may not be a fair comparison. It doesn't even have the new motion blur system which VASTLY improved visuals in PCars. That being said DC's lighting seems to be more closer to real life.
PCars textures seem a bit flat too and there is something about the rain clouds being kicked up by the tires that just seems fake looking. Also, DC's wet ground reflection is pretty awesome reflectin...
Doesn't matter if he's making money or not. It's Nintendo's IP. They've done it in the past and earlier this week they shut down a Mario 64 unity project. So, if you are going to do something like this FINISH IT FIRST, then give it out.
Is anyone else experiencing some slight stutter in cut scene videos? Game play for me is a pretty solid 65 fps, but cuts scenes seem to running at a low fps.
