The whole company will be cloud based in about 3-4 years or virtually all of it. Right now.... revenue depending on what you call cloud services is in the 50-80% for cloud services, depends on the definition being used.
I thought it was border line horrible other than some of the stuff we are seeing about Rage 2, of course, some people would probably like Doom 2 as well... but that is probably a ways out... 2020+
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition - Not my thing... so no Devil May Cry 5 - Doesn't look horrible but nothing I think looks good or new Dying Light 2 - Actually looks less fun then #1 and I couldn't even pick that up Crackdown 3’s - still looks like ass and this has always been AA type game Sekiro - I'm a huge From Software fan and I thought this looked mehhhh at best... very disappointing Kingdom Hearts 3 - not my thing, looks fairl...
Like what? Just curious. I'm going to be honest... this E3 is pretty disappointing to my gaming tastes... I'm talking 3rd party stuff as well. I really only expect for Sony to show what they have in the bag... although a Remastered of Demon's Souls could make me want to buy something, or depending how Ghost looks.
- Rage 2 looks promising - Gears of War Tactic... looks promising for that niche crowd
I was told a few weeks ago late 2019... but now it seems like they are still very early in development.... Xbox Next is starting to appear more realistic.
Fable - Xbox Next Perfect Dark - Xbox Next Rare new IP - Xbox Next Halo - Looking like Xbox Next All the other studios - Xbox Next, generally speaking other than GOW stuff, Crackdown 3, and Forza
I didn't read the story but the only good moment to me was Gears of War Tactics and they only showed like 30 seconds of it. Okayish show but that is pretty much a wrap as far as Xbox One.
Look the guy that has Microsoft colored glasses that can't read simple English.
No, I have been mostly right... I predicted what was going to be shown at MS and Sony's conference between 1-2 weeks ago.
Mostly right but I said Gears of War 5 was unlikely to be shown, most of the rest I was correct including Gears RTS by Splash Damage, slip of Crackdown 3 to 2019... or I said most likely... Ori2, Cuphead, etc. I wa...
- Forza (later in 2018) - Crackdown 3 (early 2019) - Gears of War 5 (they say 2019, my guess pushed back... I was told this is a ways off) - Halo 6 (I was originally told this was a late 2019 title... its now looking like a Xbox Next title 2020-2021) - Ori 2 (2019) - Cuphead Next (2019) - Battletoad (no footage, probably a indie type title... probably years out) - Gears of War: LittleBigPlanet Edition (probably 2019 but mobile gam...
I actually liked Judgment, well the game modes part, but I can see why others gave it only so so reviews because the campaign was basically glorified horde mode.
Gears of War 5 can't be a good thing for long term GearHeads…. I loved the series back in the day. I would have went with more a Gears of War 1 style but with modern gameplay mechanics thrown in and better tech... the atmosphere in Gears 1 was great.
I actually didn't think most of the 3rd party stuff looked that good. I personally only like one thing... Gears of War Tactic... what was it like 30 seconds of footage? The only other game I kind of like this E3 is Rage 2 so far. I didn't even like the Shadows Die Twice, which is a shock because I love From Software games.
Better show then last year for Microsoft but I think it was okayish, I actually think most of the 3rd party stuff wasn't even interesting....
I was told a few weeks ago that Gears of War 5 was years out, which I posted here, I was surprised they showed a trailer. There really is no games for the next couple of years, nothing has changed for the short to medium term... you're talking years out.
So... between now and 2020:
- Another Forza - Another Gears (LittleBigPlanet Edition on Mobile) - Another Gears Tactic (this actually looked pretty goo...
Hey, I actually like the very little shown of Gears Tactic... this actually looked like Gears. I did kind of enjoy the Gears of War DLC for LittleBigPlanet… that was interesting, I guess. LOL
Solid show but even most of the limited exclusive games they showed are long ways out... meaning Halo and Gears of War 5 is probably very late 2019, my guess is pushed to 2020 on both. Next year will be better but this was nothing more than a 3rd party showcase.
They're just trying to keep as many customers as they can before they roll out streaming and virtualization in a few years.
Basically they are only getting a few games in the next couple of years, my guess is Halo is being pushed back to run on their new services they'll be releasing in a few years.... until then... you basically have LittleBigPlanet reskinned with Gears of War, Gears this, Gears that....
They'll (Microsoft) first roll out streaming... then in a few years virtualization of Windows and Gaming into a virtualized desktop. My guess is you will get one more console iteration and possibly a thin-client.... but at that point you could do your gaming on a iPhone/Android, etc. as well.
