'Rings make you very strong and it will collapse the whole "Souls" effectiveness.'
What? There are rings in the Souls games.
None of these 'went too far'.
My bad, thought it was calendar year.
These figures are for Q2, not Q1.
No.
I found it difficult to settle on a score tbh. It's hard, especially with a remake of such an old game, to find a balance between rating it as it stands against modern competition (not too well) vs. rating it purely for the work done updating the game (much better). You sort of end up with a score somewhere in the middle.
If you still enjoy the original then you should definitely enjoy this - they handled the remake well and I definitely got a nostalgia hit from it. But...
@majiebeast - Every Fallout game they've made has been buggy, but (with the exception of 76, which I didn't even bother trying) they've been enjoyable despite the bugs.
I didn't find 4 boring... until I got to my first 'radiant' quest; there's no warning that they're looped, so you can sink hours into some of the dullest quests in the game before you finally realise that they're never-ending. That really pissed me off.
Looks better than I expected.
A 5 for Balan is... surprisingly high for Edge.
It's certainly up there, but not THE best for me. Excellent writing, good humour, and of course great puzzle gameplay.
Depends on platform. If you'd be playing on PC then the bugs aren't that bad or numerous, at least not in my experience (played for 80 hours). Think 'Bethesda open world' and you'd get a good idea of what to expect regarding bugs.
I watched a mid-sized Twitch streamer play through it. Yes, it's incredibly awkward, atrociously acted, full of questionable decisions, inapproriate actions, and yes sexism but also ironic humour where the 'dating guru' (who is self-evidently anything but) is the butt of the joke. All of that is what makes it hilarious and cringe in equal measure. It's an FMV car crash that you can't help but keep watching.
None of that should make it ban worthy. And Ste...
Bought one at launch. Great device, shit support from Sony, especially compared to the PSP. I know some people who love it and make the argument that it got strong support and lots of games, but I'm never really convinced; it basically became an exclusively indie & niche Japanese titles machine within a matter of months.
If Sony ever makes another handheld they can count me out; wouldn't trust them to support it.
I think they might tone that down a bit before release. It's one of the things some of the VIP community guests they invited to Blizzcon brought up with the team.
Loved this game; the art style was beautiful. Transforming the world from a dull grey into a bright, colourful land that stretched far into the distance felt very rewarding.
The platforming was OK, and the combat could've done with some improvement, but the exploration elements and visual flair were excellent.
Though, looking at the quality of the SoT remake, I'm half glad they chose to leave this one alone.
They've confirmed you can still play single player offline.
For a huge fan you don't seem to have done your research.
To the WarCraft point there's StarCraft, which was a well-received remaster by fans. The blow-back from WarCraft has clearly had an impact, because...
It's a different development team working on it - Vicarious Visions - which has several successful remasters under its belt (Crash, Tony Hawk's).
AND their deep-dive with Llama on Twitch made it very clear that the ...
You can go back further than that - it's worse than GTA 3 for sure. It's arguably worse, or even, with the original GTA.
Except FFVII Remake, which is in RPG, obviously ;)
Brett (the guy who owns the site) is definitely not an Xbox fanatic lol.
