Please bring back Tenchu. A triple A Tenchu game is all I ask for.
That's what I'm sayin. Obviously it's still make or break for them. If Avowed, South Of Midnight, Outerwolds 2 etc suck. Then expect the studios and staff gone, just like every other company out there. Nobody can afford flops anymore. This industry is too expensive for that.
Wait you think Xbox is just going to pull the console this year? What are they gonna replace it with their new platform they've stated that they're making for the past year now?
Fanboys say the darnedest things.
Easy, What you said is facts, but it's also about building up that audience on Xbox once again. It'll always be the lowest selling platform compared to the other two platforms, no matter what they do but For MS personal goals they can sell more for themselves. Skipping the platform all together doesn't build up awareness or a growth on Xbox things just stay the same.
No longer needed so it's ok to fire those staff anyway? Even the senior So excuses basically. Typical for your type.
Right because the games sell 10 of millions across other platforms.
Been hearing this since 2014 15 now Ok, this isn't just an Xbox issue anymore it's a Industry wide problem. Ubisoft could go under if Assassins Creed fails, previous title Outlaws failed EA is going LS after DA failed (yeah... Surprise) and heavily betting on BF now. Xbox shutting down Arkane Austin and Tango despite them LYING and saying Hifi needed to do what it did (then why shut them down?) Concord studio is no longer around. It's a industry wide issue not a single company. ...
"$80 billion spent and thousands upon thousands fired to get no new games that weren't already coming just to f**k over the industry so a select few wealthy scumbags could get more wealthy."
All true but what do you think about Sony's lay offs yesterday?
Hardly news anymore. This is a very common trend amongst the two consoles.
Tbh I don't even think about them lying more like they don't want to upset Xbox fans again like they did Indy.
It's definitely going on PS5.
@Dodo dont get all defensive. Lay offs aren't a good thing but I don't think the PS6 is affected but it is a bit worrying when encompassing everything PS. Leadership changes, cancelations of LS now these lay offs.
Well we don't know how big the team was or how many got laid off.
I personally dont think it'll actually effect the PS6 at tbh.
Actual game devs are safe but the software side of these lay offs is a bit worrying.
One of the devs Oscar Diaz suggested he was working on the PS6. He was a senior engineer over at PS.
Tired of these lay offs across this industry man...
That makes absolutely no sense. Hearing about being a LS game mid development is not why it failed considering it launched and is a SP game from the jump.
Uuh I played the first one and liked it? Is that a serious question!?
Idgaf I'm still buying it. I buy games that I enjoy period.
@S2 what did he lie about exactly?
"Please point me to a PS fan here being that oblivious and obnoxious."
Is this a joke? You really can't see Sony fans being obnoxious? For a while it was Xbox isn't doing anything with the studios they bought, some how expecting large amounts of games 2 years after they acquired those studios, which is brain dead. Xbox financials coming in and they're dead every time. In fact they're dead every ...
Huh? They clearly are what are you trying to get at?
@Raw you're part of that fanbase. Is it obnoxious it is, but I bet wouldn't keep the same energy if someone was doing that with PS stuff?
Y'all wouldn't.
Well the clarity won't come until they announce their next project that's not elden Ring.
Sony owns 10% so they may get additional sales revenue with each game sold and a piece of the Fromsoft yearly profits. That's money Sony doesn't wanna leave on the table at least I would think. Even when they publish their next project, keeping it exclusive in this day and age seems less and less likely. Jason Schreier believes that third party exclusives will longer be...
