It was good but way too easy.
@mcstorm and if you look at my comments I’m often critical of Microsoft, but in this case they did something really good and I hope others follow.
Why attack customers? I don’t think he works for Ubisoft at the moment, but how does this help anyone? Many people are letting Ubisoft know what they want and if Ubisoft doesn’t listen they won’t buy it, period.
@/rainslacker how do you think pc games work when they let you set the render resolution? I suggest learning about how graphics are rendered before trying to argue about them. Output resolution and render resolution aren’t the same thing either, you should start by learning about that. Heck you can even make the render resolution higher than the output resolution which we call supersampling.
@timotim so people are completely ignorant of what we are talking about? You’ve had bc, but now you are getting bc with a higher render resolution which increases visual fidelity quite a lot. In the past console gamers had to pay for these sorts of enhancements on a game by game basis and publishers called this sort of enhancement a “remaster”.
you're confusing how they do the emulation with how the graphics are improved. Modern games don't actually have a native resolution at all unless we are talking about how the 360 (or other consoles) would upscale 720p games (or often weird resolutions) to whatever resolution you set in the options. You can easily change render resolution (and see how it affects the image) using emulators on pc for ps2, wii and other modern systems as well (but consoles dont gernally give users much co...
Not to mention the performance isn’t even up to par, so shameful.
I can’t understand how Sony messed this up so badly, show a little pride for god sakes.
Why am I getting disagrees? This is a good thing that only pc gamers were able to do in the past. Console gamers have been forced to rebuy their games which is highly anti consumer. Heck they even were calling emulated games rendered at higher resolution “remasters” and making you buy them again, do you like that?
Im glad console gamers can finally enjoy what pc gamers have always been able to do.
They aren’t upscaling, they are rendering at higher resolution.
Well considering you can already play fortnite at 60 FPS on an iPhone in 2018, in ten years the idea of streaming makes absolutely no sense at all. Why run games server side at all?
The idea of streaming games makes less and less sense as technology progresses, and right now streaming just isn’t that great an experience even with Ethernet and in home. Suits and investors just don’t get it, when you stream video the users end device is still doing all the work but games don’t work the same way at all since they are interactive.
They should open up the emulator for everyone to use, hackers have exposed the classics are just the original game running on an emulator. People with hacked ps4s can play games like persona 4 rendered at higher resolution, it’s anti consumer to charge per game to use an emulator with no option to pop the original disk in. The same company that invented the term “remaster” to define a game with absolutely nothing changed but the render resolution. I like Sony, but if they continue this next g...
The best looking game of 2018 is the pc version of battlefield v (especially with ray tracing), even if the game itself is disappointing.
That I can agree with, nothing looks quite that good using a 750ti.
You havent been playing on pc if you believe this. Honestly, nothing matches battlefield v with ray tracing on... not even close. The game itself might be disappointing, but its damn beautiful. You guys do this every gen, even late last gen you were trying to say 1080p ultra on pc looked the same as 720 sub 30 fps and low settings that the consoles offered.
Most mods are cosmetic, what’s your point?
Doesn’t really matter, some customers are always going to complain. You don’t attack them for it lol.
Sony gets anti consumer at times, but when people vote with their wallets they smarten up.
