@Darthv72
I think most consumers are aware of the hardware differences between a "Kinect-less XB1" and the "Bundled" version.
I also don't see a ton of people buying the Kinect-less version and then later going, "Damn, now I have to go get the Kinect because it's so cool". Does that mean there won't be a few people doing this? No, but obviously MS understands that this is what the majority of people want. I'd be w...
@Charybdis
You do realize that those numbers coming from "MajorNelson" are completely skewed right? That's MS just throwing out a number that is completely inaccurate based on what they want it to look like. Google some other polls taken from a neutral source and you'll see those numbers are reversed. It's like when a gaming magazine controlled by makers of a specific console, give awkwardly high rating scores to the games made by that same company. Ther...
@N4RC
You say virtually everyone who has an XBone likes the Kinect...? Now who's speaking for everyone?

Just because you like it, does not mean all XBone owners do.
I have to agree w/ Derekvinyard13. The must haves just haven't been there for me yet. The graphics are better, but not like from last gen. Most of my friends still agree and have yet to make the jump.
I remember Tandy, but my first gaming memory was on the Colecovision or Atari. For some reason the game "Combat" is the first I can vividly remember. After the Atari, gaming just didn't catch on until the NES was released. I still remember opening mine on Christmas. From that day on it was over, I was hooked. The SNES only improved and I can still remember gaming late into the night playing Mario Kart, Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat and many other games.

I agree with Colonel179. It's not that they are offering options, but the fact that they said the Kinect was all anyone needed. Also the fact that they continually back track on everything. Anyone that bought the XBone but didn't want the Kinect, is going to be a little annoyed when MS goes back and offers a Kinectless XBone. I personally won't get an XBone until the Kinect is removed. But I'm fine with just having a PS4 too. But I'm a gamer at heart, so I'd prefer to ...
I agree, it's just a gimmick. My buddy who has money to throw away, bought the original Kinect for the 360. We play golf when we're blitzed drunk and that's the only use it ever gets. Even then it's sloppy in it's use, just doesn't work well. I know the new one is suppose to be better, but I don't want one and refuse to even think about getting an XBone until it's removed. Otherwise it will just be the PS4 this gen for me.
"With Kinect, you are the remote". So what happened to that and why even have a remote if you wanted Kinect to succeed? This is almost funny at this point, MS seems to have absolutely no clue. That or they're preparing for another option for a future Kinect-less XBone, which needs to happen. I think they're going to see what TitanFall will do for the XBone and decide after. But either way, they need to drop Kinect, not many core gamers will get much use out of the Kinect.
Well said Prime, bubble up sir.
I see where you're coming from Aces17, but I preferred my 360 to my PS3 overall. It could be because I started last gen w/ the 360 and most of my friends were playing on Live, but I still loved the PS3 exclusives more. That being said, at the moment the PS4 is the only new-gen system I plan on buying right now. The XB1 just went to far from a gaming platform and put more focus on things I don't care about as a core gamer. I don't want Kinect period. I have nothing against the 360 ...
Honestly, I want Sony, MS and Nintendo to all do well. I want healthy competition or different creative gaming designs driving new games of the future. I don't see any reason (Like the Author) to just hate a system for no apparent reason. I think true gamers should be open to all platforms.
Honestly, it's close to the worst AI I've seen. I watched the Beta play on youtube and the guy playing, just ran around snapping AI players necks, literally like 5-10 at a time while other bots just stared or could do nothing but wait to be next.
Reminds me of MW2, people ditching their guns and just running around melee. Took any enjoyment out of a FPS game. Melee is great, but going through 4-5 bots while they seem to do little damage is stupid.
SOCOM came before Halo 2 and was a great online game. One I liked far more than any other after it.
I have to agree, but I can't explain why. I felt like BI was linear compared to BS 1-2. I did like BI, but not as much as people were raving about it. It's a great game, good concept and fun to play, but even though you can explore levels, I still felt trapped within each until moving on to the next. Maybe it was the level design, I don't know.
Denver did eventually give up at the end, but they just wanted the hurt to be over. I agree w/ "SwordandShield". It's not as if Denver didn't try to be in the game. Onside kick, 4th down tries, etc. As a Seattle fan (born and raised) it was a great game to watch.
Amazing game. Seahawks made the Broncos look terrible. Constant pressure, stripping the ball, interceptions, rushing, special teams. What a great game.
This was a fun post to read through, minus the numerous grammatical errors. I'm glad they included the power glove as well. I remember seeing it in ads and on television, I wanted it so badly. Finally a friend of mine had got one and I had a chance to try it out for myself. I quickly realized it was a disaster. From that point on I no longer wanted one.
Thanks Tru_Blu. I was curious about the upgrade. I have the disc and haven't had a moment to play online, so I only played the campaign so far. I had 1 crash and some other weird graphical bug issues, but nothing nearly as bad as what I've been hearing. Were you playing online Tru_Blu?
I keep seeing more and more people talk about what a great deal this is, and for face value it has some. But knowing EA, this is only the first step into them raking in more money. Yes that's how every company grows and evolves, but EA has always gone about it devilishly.
On top of this, everything is digital. I'd rather pay more to have physical copies of my games. Apparently when everyone complained about DRM, they were just complaining to complain. What happened to...
