@VaizardNL
You're totally right, but I'm pretty sure it's all about spending 4-500 dollars to play things in equal or lower resolution than what we have now. I'm holding off on a new console for now and instead opting for a new little Kaveri build next year. Money better spent ATM.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who stopped playing Skyrim after 10 or so hours because of it's shitty, wooden combat.
Santa said he'd just bring me gift cards in anticipation of January's Kaveri APU release!
I thought Microsoft was claiming that they killed it on Black Friday??
I still contend that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the most complete example of how to design a game in the modern era. It is never afraid to introduce mechanics, use them once, and then move on to something else. The game is, for lack of a better phrase, "balls to the wall" the entire time and never lets up. It takes what was so great about the first game and lets creativity and fun take the driver's seat. Brilliant.
BTW, great read and I approve of this article ser...
"Wii On U"
Commercials featuring celebrity spokesman R. Kelly
Or don't want one as there's little compelling to play on either...
Here's what I like about it. Lemme show you the N4G timeline:
-Pre-Wii U release: "Bah, underpowered hardware"
-Post-Wii U release: "Who would buy that crap?"
-Post-XBO reveal: "PS4 + Wii U 4 Life, bitchezzz!"
-Post-XBO release: "Phew, XBO really ISN'T that bad. Thank God Wii U is back to being a piece of crap."
I really wish that N4G was a place for people who love games, not for those w...
I went to my local GameShit to get a $30 PSPlus code and Tales of Xillia for $20. People in line laughed at me. Anyway, by the time I got to the register at 12:40 AM, all of the PS4s were gone and the whole allotment of XBOnes were still sitting on the counter. Maybe it's just unique to my store.

I think you're both kind of right. Think about it- if you extrapolate out to the next cycle from where Nintendo is now, all signs would point to a console that is BOTH portable and home-based. You play on the go, then BAM! The next thing you know, your gameplay is being streamed to a dock connected to your TV. I'd be on board.
Nice to see that Majora's Mask, the most ambitious Zelda game, made the list. Excellent!
It would seem, though, that Twilight Princess would have to be ejected in favor of A Link Between Worlds for future lists.
Nah, methinks the "bitch, please" comes into play when talking about THIS sword:

No thanks.
Consolidated eShop currency balances! Say what you want about Nintendo, but they listen to their base and have made great strides in changing their line of thinking. Good on you, Nintendo!
I remember importing mine back in '99 from Toys & Joys for FFVIII all so I could gather those resources to make Ribbons!
So, if the original interface was Memory Card slot, what will this one be? Will it need an adapter?
I'm seeing the top 2 games of November mysteriously missing from the list- Super Mario 3D World and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
Couldn't agree with the author more. With the launches of these machines/software getting messier by the day, I'm glad I gave my PS4 preorder to a friend.
I wrote this a while back, but I still feel the same. No-brainer.

I don't see either of those things happening. First off, for Nintendo, it's never been about the sexy hardware(you could make arguments for SNES and GCN). Second, a Nintendo experience is a FAMILY experience. Sure, Nintendo would love to sell every system an individual, non-transferrable copy of a game, but selling one hard copy that's passed amongst siblings is still better than no sale at all. My son is almost one, and I know that I'll buy a 2DS for him right at the end of t...
