I won't be able to play Oblivion after playing Skyrim.
Skyrim looks like next gen compared to Oblivion. Skyrim's graphics and environment just obliterates Oblivion. Even the freaking menu looks vastly better for crying out loud.
This should have been a pre order bonus.
I was thinking of buying UC3 on launch but with so many great games already released (dark souls, batman, battlefield3) and more coming (MW3, Skyrim) I just don't have the time to play it even if I bought it on launch.

Next gen 1080p, 60fps, 8AA etc but the real distinguishing gameplay enhancing feature:
1) Multiple monitors: 3-5 monitor support. Imagine playing Batman, Darksouls, Skyrim, Battlefield, MW etc with peripheral vision where you actually have to look to your left and right by turning you head. You'll be really drawn into the game.
2) 3D support. Next gen isn't going to come out until 2013 earliest and 2014 most likely. That's still few years away. 3D...

That makes as much sense as saying Uncharted 2's multiplayer is an essential part of the game because it trains and prepares you for the single player experience.
Battlefield3 needs BOTS!
They should have ditched the whole scripted SP campaign and instead made amazing smart AI bots and then set up scenarios using multiplayer maps where you had to complete tasks with the goal of teaching you how to use each class and vehicles and value of teamwork.
okay so like when is this version going to come out for my Wii? I hope its like 1080P. Why are we wii fans being left out of the dark? Wii has amazing technology too. If the CD or MP3 version was included in the Collector's Edition, that would have sealed the deal for me to pre order it. As it stands, I preordered just the regular version. At least it comes with a cloth map. Better than nothing as I am going to buy this awesome game anyways, might as well get anything that comes free by pre ordering it.
But I would have paid extra for the Collector's Edition if they weren't so stingy and added the music soundtrack.
If you had to pick only 5 games:
1) Batman
2) UC3
3) Dark Souls
4) Skyrim
5) Battlefield3/MW3
I can live with these games for the next 7 months until Fall 2012 when another batch of 2012 Blockbusters are released. But I'd have to pick up ME3 in March :P

I wouldn't buy PS4 if it came out tomorrow. I'd wait 1-2 years till price comes down and more AAA titles are released and dev got a better handle on the new hardware.
Whenever the next gen comes out, games will be released for both PS4 and PS3 for at least another year or two. Two years after launch, you could buy the PS4 for at least a 40% discount from launch price.
Yeah the PC version really rocks but my PS3 version is just decent enough that I can enjoy it and wait a little longer to upgrade my PC. But man does the PC version make you drool.

This studio has proven itself and now has a reputation as being the cream of the crop in the industry as their releases are 100% cream of the crop. I don't care what the title is, what the game is about. Just buy it cause whatever it is, its top notch and you'll enjoy it.

Like I said, I don't care if SP was good or bad. Personally I didn't mind it but I bought this game for MP and will enjoy it for many months/years and never regret spending money on it but don't try to bullshit me.
What verbal diarrhea! If SP was training for MP then SP would have emphasize the importance of each class, show the strength and benefits of each class, how working as a team has huge benefits, how to effective use vehicles etc. Did anyone see any of that cause I didn't.This attempt to save face makes them look stupid and childish.

No one is arguing that an 8 isn't a good score. Of course it is. The problem is that there are games that go above and beyond and its possible to reach the pinnacle of your industry and rightly recognized.

I'm gonna have to trade in my copy of Oblivion now. I don't think I can go back and play that game when Skyrim is better in EVERY single way: visuals, sound, gameplay, story, size, user interface.
But I hope Skyrim doesn't do a Rage or Battlefield3. Both had high expectations and both were a little dissappointing. eg) long loading times, bugs and glitches like a plague. (Fallout: Las Vegas)

Battlefield3 was a little rushed to compete with MW3. Another few months would have done wonders. I'll wait for the Bad Company using the Frostbite 2 engine to come out. I'm guessing it will be all that Battlefield3 could and should have been-better SP, less glitches, better visuals throughout and there may even be BOTS.
I think Bots would be invaluable in the console version since there is less players. I'd love to hook up with 6 friends and have lots of bots fil...
I'd add Lair, Haze, Final Fantasy 13. Especially FF13 because it was a total departure from what you'd normally expect of out of that series. Might as well call it "Legend of Crystal Adventures" by Square Enix because it was that different from past FF games.
What about the low res blurry graphics?
I hope they up the visual department because after playing BatmanAA, Dark Souls, Resistance3, Rage, Battlefield3, Crysis2 my standard has gone up. I loaded up GTA4 and couldn't get back into it because the graphics already looks so dated. It better be at least Red Dead Redemption standard.
