If true it would be great to be able to play all of those free PS3 Plus games I've been getting since november.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Sony and Microsoft shift towards Nintendo's E3 style in the upcoming years. A pre-recorded video that's shorter but denser in terms of the content gamers want. No executives talking awkwardly onstage (regurgitating the same sound bites we've heard a thousand times), no technical mishaps. Just 100% content.
The reason why PS4 is making so many right moves is because they botched the PS3 launch. They were hugely arrogant off the massive success of the PS2 (most successful console of all time) that they thought they could get away with a lot when it came to the PS3 launch but they were wrong. (Microsoft made similar arrogant mistakes back when the X One was announced). Sony had to earn back a lot of their fan base last gen with things like instant game collection, price drops, etc. Sony has learne...
I wouldn't be opposed to Sony copying this and re-releasing "platinum" versions of Knack, Killzone: Shadowfall and Infamous: Second Son (with the new stand-alone DLC) for 20-29.99 come the holiday season.
It's rumored that Sony Bend cancelled a game back in 2012 and some speculate that was the next syphon filter. That would make sense considering the parties involved and why the artist was able to make that concept art public. Because it's for a game they're no longer making. This is just a theory based on rumor of course.
I'd love to see a sonic game developed by the Ubi team that does the rayman games or the developer, retro games, who do all the new donkey kong countries.
Will never happen but I think they'd both do a better job than sega.
Looks like it might be the Xbox One version based on the button prompts during the pause menu. Looks good. I'm excited to see how the PC and PS4 versions look.
Nintendo needs to make a big budget 3d pokemon game for Wii U. It could be even better if it was an MMO RPG.
It seems like a no brainer to me that Sony should put all the cross buy titles on PS+ Instant Game collection. That would beef up PS+'s appeal in a hurry.
I own a ps4 but never owned a ps3. I would like to play the Last of Us but don't want to buy a ps3 and would prefer to own the game rather than stream it for a monthly fee from Gaikai. That seems like a logical enough reason to want the game on PS4.
One of the oft forgotten bonuses of getting a console at or near launch is you get to geek out every time a new update is released. It's like leveling up your console.
All the people who get their PS4s in a year or two will just take all of these update features and stability for granted haha.
Given, Joel was bad at VGX but so was everything else. There was a very awkward vibe throughout the entire show. Remember uncomfortable it got when Geoff was pushing Reggie for more Nintendo info? All of the viral videos were atrocious. The thing I hated the most were the four guys who were outside doing the GTA V pre-concert stuff. I wanted to slap them all across the face. The whole thing felt like a bad skit put together by a gaggle of incompetent children.
This title is incredibly misleading and the guy holding the camera seems to be pulling things out of thin air. I think Rubin is basically saying that he wants his daughter to play Nintendo games but if they keep up the way they're going, in terms of hardware, neither the hardware or software will be around when his daughter comes of age. I don't think he's right. Obviously Nintendo will need to improve their business strategy with the Wii U but they had problems with the 3ds, fixe...
Maybe they'll take care of it when AC jumps (pardon the pun) to a next gen engine.
I can't really feel too bad for EU considering they get much better games in the Instant collection and they get those games faster than NA too.
This seems like a mistake on sony's part. They're trying to convince ps4 buyers that ps+ is a worth while must have subscription and yet they get cheap in their second month. The month when most newcomers' free trial month is coming to an end.
I've got far more faith in Valve and Team Ico than I did in the Duke Nukem team haha.
Yeah most of the cons came off as whiney and the worst of them just came off as sort of ignorant to the way the game industry works.
...They also gave Resogun its lowest rating at a 65...
Pretty sure Sony got rid of the short term rentals (probably because of the huge back lash). Now it's just a week, a month, 3 months for most games with the week rental being under 10 and usually starting at 5.99.
