I feel like game sites are pouncing on every opportunity to report something negative about PS4 because it draws a flame war in the comments and high click counts. Game alpha delayed in Japan. How does that affect the 99.9% of your readers who aren't in Japan? It's not a story but it is flame bait. Ugh.
I think any of the following would be reasonable games for them to put on PS+ and would likely help limit some of the critical fallback
Injustice: gods among us
Rayman
Tomb Raider
Child of Light
Valiant Hearts
Transistor
Knack
AC 4
Not crazy about the look of the Destiny Theme but the music is so amazing that I have to use it.
I use the phone app to initiate downloads on all my PS+ games. I find it way easier than the Sony store on the console.
I didn't know you guys had Bayonetta 2!
If I want to go out and buy a new console and the game that's getting the best reviews, I'd go get bayonetta and wii u. SSO looks interesting and I'd like to play it but it's not like the game or the console are going anywhere. I'll wait till the price drops even more. Next year XONE will probably have a November halo 5 bundle for 300 to 329.99 and at that point SSO will be 29.99. So no rush.
Well played Microsoft, well played.
I'm always glad when a new game ends up being good, especially when it brings a different flavor to AAA games that we don't see very often. I love that this game is colorful and all about having senseless fun.
I can't imagine there are any downsides worse than the alternative of not having it exist at all.
Unless at the end of your hour, every time you're logged out Shu Yoshida runs in to your home and kicks you in the balls. Though some PS and SN&M fans would consider that a bonus.
No suspense! Baseball is almost entirely suspense. Especially when you are watching the Giants. Baseball in the playoffs is usually about scrounging as many runs as you can while desperately clinging to your lead as the outs fall away one by one. All the while an error or a few good hits can mean all the difference in a comeback win.
Each pitch can mean life or death. Win or lose. There's nothing like watching a pitcher pitch himself out of an impossible situation or seei...
Smoother edges, higher poly and particle counts, less aliasing, better textures and better lighting. Nice. The end of the video demonstrates well how the new lighting really brings out the 3 dimensionality of the character models.
Was Sony this big on horror/gothic last gen? Because they've got the order, blood Bourne, silent hills, Untill Dawn and Day Z coming in 2015.
DarkOcelet will be a happy horror fan.
They get mostly praise but there is a regular release of negative articles.
Here are a few recent headlines.
"Shadow of Mordor Doesn't Respect Your Intellingence"
"Shadow of Mordor Review: One does not simply steal game engines"
"Glitching in Middle Earth"
Apparently not because I see at least 1 anti-shadow of mordor article on N4G every day.
I'd get Infamous if it didn't seem like such an obvious PS Plus candidate. Solid reviews, single player, early in the gen. Could hook more players into the series for inevitable sequels. Plus Give away infamous then hope people buy first light and make some money on the back end.
I would be shocked if Titanfall 2 was cross-gen since it likely won't come out till 2016 and hardly anyone will be making cross-gen games at that point (mostly sport ports).
This game and the early online failings of games like NBA 2k15, GTAV, Battlefield 4 make a good case for more single player and local multiplayer games being made.
Back when that was the norm, there were far fewer launch problems.
They deserve every penny.
They did an amazing job on this cross gen game. I can't wait to see how amazing their world building and graphics will be on a solely current gen sequel.
I can live with Bayonetta's impractical clothing and gravity defying proportions because that's par for the course in video games and comics and has been for decades. The only thing that weirds me out are the gratuitous zoom ins between her open legs. It makes me feel like a back alley gynecologist. It's pervy and low brow in a way that Bayonetta 2 is better than.
What I find most interesting is the drop in percentage between PS3 and Xbox 360. 360 had a huge drop from 30 to 15% (assuming they went next gen) where as PS3 only dropped from 24 to 17% which means there's still a sizable market of Sony players who haven't made the jump to PS4.
