To be fair, this took quite a while to make. Still, this guy managed to outshine a team of professionals. Awesome game.
I'd love to see Crysis on the 3DS. Sure it wouldn't look nearly as good as the PC version, but it would add a completely new element to the series.
A lot of people seem to be taking the reviews as a bias against anything that isn't CoD. I think that it's possible some reviews could be the result of bias, I don't think nearly all of the reviews being this way are indicative of this, however.
I don't believe the game is bad. It seems like they did a good job at making a tight, focused story and balanced gameplay. I do think that many of the problems found in this game are signs that the game could have used...
No, I'm not. I have no plans to purchase Black Ops. I am burned out on the series and what it has become since MW2. I had a huge interest in MoH and am disappointed to find out that the final product is being considered average by most (check metacritic if you think I'm just being a fanboy). I've been interested in MoH since it was announced. I don't want Activision in charge of any part of the market, to be frank. The article does not slam MoH, nor does it promote CoD. It jus...
Not at all, actually. I was seriously considering MoH. Ended up getting BC2. I've actually become burned out on CoD. Don't throw me into your fanboy wars.
It seems like once Sega brought Sonic into the 3D world, they let things get out of hand. They didn’t really know what to do with him anymore. Hence, you have all of these spin-offs/bad games.
Interesting stuff. How current are these numbers?
It's not a matter of complete saturation, no. It is a matter of games in other genres being overshadowed by these games.
MS really ruined it for everyone by setting this standard early into the 360's life cycle. I'm glad Sony is a little more lenient, however TONS of content that used to be free is nickel-and-dimed through online stores now. The damage is done. I hope things like Steamworks on PS3 change that though.
There is no hating of FPS' in the article.
Even after writing this, I'm thinking of Reach and Bad Company 2. That must mean something...
I like the split-screen online addition the most. They are really stepping it up for this one.
I'm happy that they finally allow splitscreen online multiplayer. I wish all shooters did this.
I don't believe it is illegal. But it can be used for illegal purposes, such as pirating. Kind of like how a judge recently ruled Jailbreaking legal for iPhones.
I have yet to actually buy one of these games. If I owned a PSP that might not be the case, but right now none of them really appeal to me.
I hadn't thought of the ending. Isn't this game about a failed mission in Afghanistan? I could be mistaken though.
I don't know if the military bases will necessarily even get the memo about the name change. EA will probably make a big deal about it though.
Yeah, it's already received plenty of attention for this. I was impressed that EA had stood their ground on the name. Now, not so much.
"Opposing Force" sounds pretty lame, by the way. Even "Rebels" would have been a lot better.
I agree, 3 is already bad enough. It's good for competition though.
I actually dig the new art style. It blends the two well. Not that I wouldn't like another game in the same vein as Twilight Princess...
