The only region Xbox remains competitive with PlayStation is North America

Everywhere else is a one sided battle

@ Crimson

If you want to play the numbers game look how many Square Enix titles this year alone that Xbox did receive as well as every individual year prior

With how multiplatform Square Enix has become over the years, it’d still be strange for them to completely neglect Xbox next year.

Yes their titles don’t sell as well on that brand, but that didn’t stop them from supporting it since 2006. Even various other Japanese publishers aside...

Not exclusively

A large number of their titles are still coming to Switch

PlayStation games are on sale as often or even more yet it still had no problem offering more value for its lower tier subscription

Although it’s strange no Xbox titles have been announced by Square Enix for next year yet, I doubt they’ll go the entire 2023 without one release

I more than got my money’s worth off the premium tier

I just wish the Metal Gear titles would return to the service

Wish Sega would rerelease this trilogy

I was hoping Square Enix would implement a combat as in depth and intricate as KH2’s in FFXV or KH3

I’m still waiting. FFXVI may finally do so

Seeing that Castlevania DLC made we wanna try out Dead Cells

In 2022

PlayStation Plus Essential offered 37 games worth $1,304.63

Xbox Games With Gold had 43 worth $712.58

Wow Microsoft’s service offered a few more games yet delivered a little over half of monetary value than its direct competitor did. It’s painfully obvious Microsoft doesn’t care as much for this tier.

First?

There have been plenty of action RPGs in Final Fantasy prior

I can’t believe Sega can’t even be bothered to get a budget for this spinoff

They really are just going to shamelessly let Nintendo fund every title in the franchise going forward

All PS4 games should be patched to run on PS5 at this point

I thought it was weird when I tuned late into the livestream and I heard Bill Clinton randomly get a shoutout during the award

If Castlevania content appearing in Super Bomberman R and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, along with the well received anime adaptation, didn’t get Castlevania new mainline titles I doubt this will

Plus I don’t trust modern Konami with new Castlevania titles

@ That

That’s a horrible comparison

1.) Crash and Spyro have been more successful than Banjo-Kazooie and Conker

2.) Cradh and Spyro have had recent entries that prove how commercially viable the series still are

@ Light

Why bring up Microsoft when they don’t have control over Activision yet?

You can’t buy games on Xbox systems anymore?

Neither of those games sold over even 5 million. Call of Duty routinely sells over 10 million every year

Guerilla Games and Insomniac went onto to make far more successful franchises. Infinity Ward, Treyarch, & Sledgehammer only make CoD games.

Sony knows its priorities

Every new gen comes out every 3 years and with more ambitious ideas it just isn’t sustainable

Pokémon demonstrates how being so merchandise driven is proving detrimental to the main product, and despite that it still sells well
