Game world is being rendered 2x in Starfox this is why it doesn't look spectacular. Did you know their was an unreleased Factor 5 Wii game with both GC games with graphical enhancements looked incredible but Nintendo and Sony let factor 5 die.
Because the game world is being rendered twice in Starfox...
And to top it off those upscaled Gamecube remasters still don't run at 60 on X1 or PS4. Its super strange those ports don't go to the Wii U since the original remake was made on that same Architecture! likely would run at the same performance as X1 PS4 maybe that explains why haha.
At least the Nintendo remakes are of games from 10+ years ago unlike the Remasterstations.
Here is a funny comparison between console and PC - Upgrade to new console hardware and you end up rebuying some of your favorite games. Upgrade your PC and many of your games become remastered for free.
Gameplay feel and response time is tied directly to frame rates in reality although 60fps is not essential for all types of games. For example turn based gameplay from an RPG or cinema movie type games don't require precision timing. That said Racing, Fighting or Action games running at 30fps are laughable by today's standards and devs who choose more effects and higher resolutions over frame rates are generally doing it wrong for those types of games and are focusing more on marketin...
Well a remake of Metroid 2 would essentialy be a completely new game seeing as how the original was on Gameboy in like 1990.
Monkeyman you are spot on with your remarks unfortunetly amateur gamers don't have the same knowledge base to pull from as you and are still bedazzled by high detail low substance games that focus more on broad appeal and screen shots. Most gamers still don't realize that fancy graphics are often more gimmicky than having more varied control options at your finger tips.
Keeping touching your touchpad and watching glare on your TV from a blinking light that hemorage battery life the true innovations of this generation lol. Gamers complain about motion controls being inaccurate and pointless because there was an avalanche of shovelware on the Wii due to its huge commercial success which is understandable however the reality is both Wiimotes and the Gamepad have far more potential than gamers realize. Gamers playing Splatoon universally prefer the motion contro...
Metroid 2 Return of Samus remake using an enhanced version of the DK Tropical Freeze engine keeping the 2.5D gameplay and visuals ;}
Get over yourself, this game will be impressive regardless of your opinion.
Your Gran Turismo comparison isn't really fair because Polyphony is a Sony first party studio with immense funding dedicated to working on Sony hardware. The Wii U is underpowered no doubt about it but the reality is Slightly Mad could limit the amount of cars on track to 10 or 12 (like the majority of racing games) instead of up to 40 and the game would run smooth as butter. I guess that solution just isn't part of their vision sadly.
Really stupid comparisons amateur gamers consistently make between DriveClub and Project Cars and it happens on literally ever single Project Cars article. So many of you Sony amateurs spend so much time on gaming media yet you can't even grasp the basics.
Thought it was releasing May 6th also can't wait.
Ocarina is an amazing game and was mind blowing on release however the gameplay and graphics just do not hold up great today whereas Link to the Past's gameplay is still fast fun and accessible without any filler and looks great to this day. Easily the best in the series especially considering its age, its ageless.
200cc is epic fast, blazing sense of speed untouched by anything on rival consoles. (Very challenging you need to master simultaneously brake and accelerate while drifting to have any control) Its fun to get enormous air time and try to fly over sections of the track usually Lakitu scoops you up. (Glitches can be fun) Noticed a few tracks don't come up for 200cc multiplayer online or have a small chance so Nintendo is obviously on it.
What do you know a bunch of amateur gamers going on about their okish DriveClub, a game designed soley around screenshots and marketing. The amateurs then go on to compare seperate racing genres with completely different goals in mind. Classic amateur Sony gamers...
Did you guys know there is more to good graphics than just resolution and frame rate. Oh nope you didn't because you're amateurs...
Get over it when your actually playing the game you will not be focusing on the faces. I'm surprised a delusional hater hasn't mentioned PS2 looking graphics yet.
Game looks stellar...
That's because even slight frame drops from 60fps are much more noticible when compared to a game running at 30fps. Project Cars will get herky jerky on consoles when the tracks are filled with 20+ cars and this is unavoidable due to the lacking CPUs. The game will still be awesome, also herd it will not be full price which is stellar, just trying to explain the reality of the situation.
Assuming somthing will fail before knowing any details is unwise. Nintendos history is pretty hit and miss its hard to say.
