I also love the Legend of Zelda was playing the original in the 80s when I was like 6. Ammibos are completely pointless in my personal opinion so I have no desire to own them, doesnt mean I am any less of a fan because I don't buy into what I percieve as pointless merchandise. Definitely not a must have for even the most die hard Zelda fans in reality.

Not essential to the game at all but if you like the figurine and are a collector of Amiibo then sure. Its that simple really.

I agree with wake&bake if it is not more powerful than what is currently available Nintendo will not sway any current X1 PS4 owners. PS4 is nearly doubling X1 sales and it isn't because of exclusive content it is because of perceived hardware superiority even when the difference is minimal.

Just rumours of course but there has been talk of tech available for the NX that enable them to work together. Possibly idling systems that are not in use will be able to supplement other NX consoles and by allowing your idling NX console to assist other active NXs, which could be optional could earn you some kind of coins or credits, would potentially solve the whole power/price dilemma.

I can only see the 900p rumor making sense if that is the res of the screen in the handheld device. X1 and PS4 were not even close to being state of the art tech when they launched 3 years ago so for the NX console to not be able to output high detail full 1080p 60fps is completely ludicrous.

The reality is Nintendo has the highest rated exclusives overall just like the infected stated. MS is in second and Sony is in third going by ratings and amount of brand new content at this moment in time. In terms of 3rd party support and performance Sony obviously wins but that is not what is being debated. Those are the facts disagree and deny reality if you like.

Read through the article and they claim the game is running at 60fps which I hope is the case but am pretty sure is false. Game definitely runs smooth but I think it is 30fps like the original and WWHD.

Forza is an excellent racing series among the best in the racing genre including sim and arcade styles. It seems to get a bad rep lately likely because of jealous Sony fanboys also NFS is not in the same league as Forza in terms of quality.

The graphical upgrades are underwhelming but the gameplay improvements you choose to ignore obviously make the game superior to whats currently available on Dolphin. There is a mod currently in development on Dolphin that is very ambitious includes substantial graphical and gameplay upgrades that will probably be superior though, if it doesn't get shut down that is.

Lighting is basically exactly the same in reality, the game just has far cleaner textures. Game would look stellar if they added bump mapping, the low poly characters and environments would have really benefited and the Wii U could handle it no prob for this 2 generation old port. Too bad.

If carts end up a thing again the gamer will benefit without a doubt. Nintendo will also be able to spend more on CPU GPU hardware without the need for a large expensive hardrive as well as all the components and moving parts reliability issues of a disk drive.
Elwenil your response is beyond stupid unless you were making a bad sarcastic joke which doesn't translate well text wise. Nes carts are literally 3 decades old and discs are easily scratched there is no comparison in terms...

I love Nintendo games and Zelda but this is the most pathetic remaster in the history of remasters. Game has slightly worse framerate on Wii U and barely looks any better, I almost prefer the softer look of the original GC version. When I get a new PC I will be playing the dolphin version with bump mapping and specular lighting running at 1080p 60fps which makes the game look incredible not just marginally better. Remember the Zelda Wii U tech demo with excellent lighting that's what the ...

Benji is correct it is likely a shitty algorithm deleting and banning levels. The whole level search engine system for Mario Maker is pretty abysmal and needs work. Otherwise the game is great.

Yah I spent a ton of time on a level that was abruptly deleted and banned, was likely due to either the highish difficulty or perhaps it was the name or subject matter {The Military Industrial Kooplex} Very dissapointing either way seeing as how the majority of levels I have played are far far worse in my opinion and the name, subject matter is not offensive in any real way...

Nintendo will have to front some of the bill for cartridges at least initially for third parties to make this work. They cannot cheap out this gen or there image will sink lower than it already is.

3032d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Really at this point there are only advantages to cartridges other than price which admittedly is the one big shortcoming. No moving parts in the console and no need for a large hard drive would enable Nintendo to focus on better hardware (industry leading chips) for less overall cost also more affordable for the consumer. Faster load times, no downloading to a bloated hard drive and gamers actually get to own a physical copy of their game which they could trade in instead of just a license a...

Future generations of gamers will look back at current gen console hardware and Nintendo will still be considered the real innovators. X1 and PS4 will be looked at for what they are restricted weak PCs streamlined for the masses. Wii U is the only true dedicated gaming console this gen. You talk about gimmicks when the most popular console today PS4 has a glowing bar in the center of the controller that saps battery life and adds glare to the display not to mention a touchpad vs touchscreen. ...

Less powerful consoles are generally easier to emulate so this was bound to happen sooner rather than later in Wii Us case although its going to be a long while before the emulator performs anywhere near acceptable. Piracy is not nearly as big an issue as you are making it out to be don't let it bother you.
