Does it really matter that cloud compute might have been done before? And calling the X1 "incredibly weak", Compared to what a toaster? Competition is good for the industry and all, but a daily game rental statistic? What are we going to have a pissing contest about next, which console has the most people who drink Red Bull? Seems like this site is grasping for straws, and the headline is purely meant to get hits. It makes no mention of how many subscribers Gamefly has,let alone how many use ps4 and the X1, but I doubt its enough to actually mean anything. I get a kick out of watching fanboys too. It was the same way when sony announced the $600 ps3, fanboys were calling for the death of the ps3. Like you said, the ps3 got through it, so will the X1. No need for people to get emotional about it. The X1 is a feature rich entertainment device, it will sell when the price gets right and more games get released. I agree, I don't see Destiny flopping. I just wonder how they will handle the online MP player count. They have said there will be multiplayer events throughout the game. I just wonder how that will work. Will they run like an MMO server that allows thousand of people? Or will we have to wait on players to enter some kind of matchmaking?
The language barrier probably would be hard to overcome in a development environment. Looking at videos of The Division they are doing a good job so far. I wonder how much of The Division is actually playable right now.
Yeah, to someone that owns an X1 you should have found out about these features. I think he should have mentioned something about the video editing features that Upload Studio has. Also he should have talked about how you can control your sound system with Kinect. And he also didn't talk about how you can stream media files from your PC. Maybe in a later article I guess.
Well said. The article seemed more about the feedback the author received on a review he wrote than what could have been an insightful story. You might argue that he was just using Infamous as a backdrop for his point. I believe it would have been a better article had he not mentioned anything about the feedback on is review.

Did you even bother to read the article? Because reading your comment makes me wonder if you did. The author doesn't mention the X1 at all throughout the whole story. Why you choose to attack MS is just trying to cause a flame war. Why do you do that?
He sounds like hes excited about the future. As an X1 owner I like that hes excited about DX12. Hopefully it leads to X1 games performing better. He complained about the OS of consoles, maybe hes going to be working on consoles soon, or has before, or he could simply be giving his opinion on consoles I guess.
He doesn't know how cloud rendering will work, but seems to think it can work. He just seems to think cloud rendering is more costly than doing it on local hardware...

The Ps4 isnt "much" more powerful than the X1. A multiplat running 1080p on the ps4 and 900p on the X1 isnt that much disparity. According to paper specs the ps4 does have a power advantage but a slight resolution difference doesn't indicate that the ps4 is "much" more powerful. I highly doubt most people could tell the difference between 900p and 1080p while playing a game,especially after the 900p game is upscaled to 1080p.
If you don't own an X1 you really cant credibly comment on what the X1 is worth. Sure you can state your opinion but I would listen to someone who owns one more closely than some random poster stating their opinion. I own an X1 and it has been great. I actually bought 2 at launch, one for me, one for my son and I have no regrets.
It will be interesting what you say when sony starts adding features to the ps4. Will you like it or will you be mad about it?

Well for one you can use the X1 as an all in one device for your entertainment center and your tablets and smartphones. That's a compeling media feature. That brings together
all the devices you mentioned into one device. It makes sense to want all your devices connected.
Video chat is another media feature that could be of interest to a consumer. I video chat with my son who lives in another county. Its a media feature I like and use.
Content packs for Project Spark themed around some of MS top titles sounds like a good idea. They mention Conker and Battletoads as examples. Fool around in Project Spark with Conkers assets, that would be pretty neat. Make it happen Phil. I wonder what other games could be used like this.

So now can we agree that Yoshidas comment can be taken as an insult or compliment? Not knocking your opinion of Yoshida, but calling someone "human" isn't really much of a compliment if you think about it, and then phrasing it with "He's the most human guy there" could be seen as an insult to the entire company, I personally dont think he meant it as an insult, but I can see how it could be perceived as an insult. Stores wouldn't order more stock unless they go through what they already have. The Titanfall bundle is just a promotion to capitalize on an award winning game.
