Yes I agree that LoS didn't feel Castlevania like except for Belmont, whips and a castle. But that didn't stop me from liking it.
I'm not saying LoS is better than older games. It wouldn't even get on my top 5 CV games.
They can make new Metroidvania games if they want. I do like them but as I said earlier I want them to try new things. That's why LoS felt so good when I played it.

You mean those Medroidvanias we've seen over and over and over again? LoS was a great Castlevania game which actually tried to do something new in the series.
Don't get me wrong I love Medroidvania games especially SotN and Aria of Sorrow. Still I'd say making LoS is one of the best things to happen for the series.

That's the sad part. Console gaming is getting on the next level. We could get all kinds of new games and experiences on Wii U, Xbox One and PS4, yet pretty much all see on the Internet is arguing who has better hardware.
It will eventually come to PC like every other GTA game. Releasing it first on consoles is probably their strategy to minimize pirating. This way those who would've pirated the game day 1 on PC needs to buy a console version if they want to play it early.
Of course a majority of PC gamers don't pirate, but nevertheless pirating is still big on PC.
I hope it will but I won't get my hopes up too high. This game hasn't even been confirmed for Japan so western release is very slim at the moment. It would be a shame if it would be China exclusive.

Nice. Is this just one movie or are they making more? I find it hard to believe they can put all of Persona 3 in one movie.
You do know that Atlus makes small budget niche games right? They have done so for a very long time and they don't seem to care about selling millions. So I don't think they would make many games for PS4. You'd know that if you played other Atlus games than Persona.
Well anyways I still hope there's a chance they stay 3rd party. That way I get more Etrian Odyssey and SMT for 3DS and Persona 5 for PS3, PS4 or maybe even Vita. Persona 5 for Vita would definitely...
Anyone remember the legendary Dune II? Such a great game and I wish they would make a new Dune RTS.
Hoping for a 3rd party solution so I can still get my SMT, Persona, Etrian Odyssey and other games on their usual platforms. Plus they publish many other niche games we would never get from Japan. I wish they could cut themselves off from Index and become independent.
This is a great way to increase replay value.

None of those games you listed are developed by Atlus except for P4G which I mentioned as a re-release for Vita.

The only new game Atlus has developed for Sony platforms recently is Catherine. Persona 1-4 were re-released on PSP and Vita but that's pretty much it.

Yes it would be better if Atlus stays 3rd party. Nothing will change and everyone is happy. There no winning for multiplatform gamers and Atlus fans if they went all-out 1st party.

You really think Atlus would publish other developers games after they've been bought by Nintendo or Sony? No. They would become 1st party and 1st party never publishes other games on their own.
