The game was 2 months away, why would someone want to buy a console 2 months earlier than the game you bought the console solely for. It does not make sense unless there are other games on Xbox that they are interested in.
Ignoring PC for so long was a mistake. In another timeline Microsoft could have had the dominant Digital Distribution service on PC instead of Steam and with Microsoft's money it could have been much much bigger than what Steam is today.
There is no PC slump, every year more and more people are opting to build their own custom PCs instead of buying overpriced pre-built PCs. This is backed up by an increase in Intel and Nvidia profits year after year.

I cracked Deunvo protected games way before them. It was not hard at all. All I had to do was to enter my credit card details and I got unrestricted access to the games.
