I thought these kinds of issues only happened to the PC versions of games.
Not surprised by this at all. As the industry shifts more and more towards a full digital future, PC and Mobile will see the most benefit.
And that's half the sales. Lots of people bought the Uplay version of the game because its cheaper. The game is doing really well on all platforms as was expected.

Hitman Graphics Analysis: PS4 vs Xbox One Comparison Shows Visual Parity, Consoles Trump PC.
How so? Console versions have lower detail, lower resolutions, lower fps. DX11 version on PC works perfectly on Nvidia cards and DX12 version runs great on AMD cards.

It helps in CPU bound situations. Not so much in GPU bound situations.
I got 10-15% performance boost with DX12 on my GTX 980 Ti. I am guessing AMD cards will get much more of a performance boost than Nvidia cards.
They are already.
Personally I will be getting the Steam VR, but I hope PlayStation VR does well as well because that will mean more overall support for VR from multi-platform developers.
Damage Control?
Ryse was not locked at 30 fps. I think you meant to say Dead Rising 3.
PC sales are almost always a marathon not a sprint.
Looks like Microsoft is serious about quality. Almost all the studios being closed were making no games I was interested in. So no loss from a consumer point of view.
It has Naughty Dog, that is more than enough reason to get a PlayStation 4.
Yes.
I am never getting an Xbox One so if you want my money release the damn game on the Windows 10 Store, or that money goes to some game on Steam or PlayStation 4.
Not Really. The game will sell 5+ million across PC and Xbox One. Max Payne and Alan Wake have had a lasting legacy that has enabled them to sell for years after release.
and Max Payne.
It still adds up to $900 for PS4 + PSVR + Camera + Move. Which is far from a mainstream price.
