"Just because MS is a trillion dollar company, doesn't mean that they have to invest in console VR"
Oh, fair enough. Sony and even Nintendo will be waving cheerio as they leave them in the rear view mirror next gen...again. Whether you, them, or anyone else, wants to admit it, VR will have a massive bearing on the future of the industry as a whole.
Yeah, spot on with the trillion dollar comment. Same goes with companies like EA. They have bottomless pockets, but are doing next to nothing in regards to the resources they have to further VR. After having just seen what Brandon from Node is doing with a game called "Boneworks" he's absolutely putting these maga companies to shame by pushing the envelope in what's possible in not just VR, but in games in general. You can't help but come away from watching that and thin...
Not impressed with current VR and wants to control it via thoughts? LOL, you absolute joker.
Talk more bollocks!
Yep. Previous gen games. That's what people bought a 400+ quid console for. Well done, MS. Now, if only you had bothered to allow something like a Rift or a Vive to be compatible with that...then you could talk.
Ah, HL3?
Still a nope. It'll be a HL prequel.
Er, no!
How about every VR title that's on Steam. There's quite a few, you know.
So what you're saying is that something has to sell hundreds of millions for it to be considered a "mainstream" success? Absolute rubbish. Do you know that the videogame industry started out as a niche, and wasn't considered "mainstream" even from and to the mid 90's? You could say that it took the industry almost 20 years to adjust and recover from the collapse in 1983, and now look at it.
Gone the way of VR? Do you believe that the current ...
No plans for VR?
OK, bye bye, then.
Some VR shite, he says. Give me Half Life 2 in VR with full Knuckle capabilities and it would blow the doors and hinges off of anything coming out of the so called "AAA" development space within the next 10 years. That's the potential VR has.
Can someone change Gabe's face in that thumbnail to a troll face with a beard and glasses?
Not exactly sure why you've got disagrees, because logically, it will be a single plug and play wire. As far as experiences goes, PSVR has enough variety on it, but I do agree with the controllers, although thats a no brainer.
If they somehow can have a headset be wireless without the cost going through the roof, then fair enough. We'll see, but I wouldnt count on it.
Make America Mexico again!
Terrible? Worse available? Even compared to Cardboard and those other cheap 2dof devices? I think not. In fact, its pretty f*cking fantastic, even if it is inferior in terms of tech compared to Vice and Oculus.
As for Nintendo, I'm not sure trying VR on the Switch is a good thing, because representing, or misrepresenting, VR in the wrong way does more damage to its perceived capability than good. Basically, anything that isn't 6Dof. The potential of VR is immense. F...
Cause N4G.
If "AAA" publishers and shareholders had their way, this wouldn't be possible.
FlintGREY
Aye, sure you have.
Na. Focus on VR.
Aye, Phil. Crackdown 3 was looking great too. Up until it wasn't.
How about some brand new ideas, Phil? How about some VR, Phil? No. Who gives a toss, Phil.
Nothing will top the N64 WCW NWO games. I remember crying laughing at those games.
Wrestling in general used to be a laugh. Now it's just pure shit. Maybe that's the main problem here.
