Hmmm, To my understanding There was never a lack of money behind the cancellation of the project. It had more to do with the parties involved. there is a possibility though that either MS or Sony could do business with Konami and their intellectual property, it just won't involve Kojima.
It looks great just not my favorite subject, some of the content still lingers in the back of my mind when watching it. I like the environment destruction, was not expecting that.
A good game but an other cheap money grab practice.
If capcom remasters the umbrella chronicles after this, it would be a remastered version to the revisited remake on the original game that was already re-released multiple times.
Exclusives have zero to do with multiplatform practices. This isn't about what consoles can do, it's about what 5 and 6tflops beasts machines can do. There is no doubt a console can produce an experience of it's own.
The lead platform should be pc and from there the consoles should be able to get whatever they can handle. No one likes parity, or if not i expect the forums to be silent when it does happen to their platform of choice. (Which i doubt.)

It will if they don't settle for parity. Parity was all the rave last gen now for the witcher 3 everyone's becoming hypocrites.
When AC Unity went for 900p parity people made a huge deal out of it. When a PlayStation game suffers people blame parity but when it involves pc suddenly it's ok.
it's cool if you enjoy it. i'm saving up for the enhanced edition. i picked up both 1 and 2 enhanced versions for cheap.
the game features reduced visuals and poor support. 1 TitanX is over kill. It's pretty evident where their minds were focused on. it's looks better on PC but once again similar to watch dogs.

The word definitive is a token belief on the consoles. eidos/SE makes collections on just about every console, DC, PS2, xbox, even ps3 and xbox 360.

Dx12 can't come soon enough. It may come in handy to own both an AMD and Nvidia GPU, for tressFX and Nvidia features.

Millions of steam and pc gamers logged in plus a E3 event, This really is becoming the golden age for pc gaming. Developers usually display pc betas of their games nowadays anyway for the convenience. But a separate E3 event, that's a first.

It's pretty evident there was a downgrade in exchange for sales. people are now looking towards the enhanced edition of 3 to bring back the stripped down settings.

I don't really care which one turns out to be better, i just like to see the improvements and support in games.
They could still do it because it's their console to do whatever they want to with it. I also thought mistwalker's games were pretty good. I honestly don't know what's going to happen though, so we'll just have to wait and see.

...CGI of 14 years ago still beats it. Spirits within Used fully rendered hair and of course 400,000 polygons spent on characters.

A GTX680 could have handled this at ultra settings at 60 fps. this doesn't look anywhere near as Crysis 3's level. I'll probably just have to wait for the enhanced edition. the enhanced edition of 1 and 2 were pretty good.
In Silent hills case, Konami still owns the IP and does not want to work with Kojima. In theory, IF a 3rd party was to outright buy the IP, they could re-contract the same people necessary to restore the project. that's if it was for sale. The rumor holds a possibility, but it sounds like someone wishing. at this point i'm just waiting till E3.
