I can't believe people are still trying to make an issue out of the mandatory install for PS3. Fact of the matter is, mandatory installs cut down loading time, make games run smoother, and give developers more options. It's a win win situation. If I had the option, I would install every game.

The only reason Wii Software sells are so high is because their hardware sales are too. Now their "attache rate" on the other hand is actually low compared to 360 and PS3.
And I'm sorry, but you can only remake SSMB and Mario so many times until they get stale. The Metroid series is also pretty crappy. Even the new Zelda game wasn't that great - i got 3/4 of the way through the gamecube version and just stopped playing.

As far as graphics are concerned, I did notice some bland textures, but I think this game looks better than most people are giving it credit for. I'd play it any day over Halo.
As long as the gameplay delivers I can live with sub par graphics. Anyways, if this is successful, it will probably become a franchise, and they will up the ante in the graphics department

I've said it b4 and I'll say it again, as long as XBL uses P2P networking, instead of Dedicated servers like PSN, it will always be less reliable. The only game that features Dedicated Servers for XBL is Frontlines: Fuel Of War and that was a dev. decision, not MS.
Server issues aside, XBL beats PSN hands down in the extra features dep., but once in game XMB, HOME, and Video service come out later this year for PSN the services will be equal except for one major difference: PSN...

GTA's usually come out about 2yrs apart from one another. Xbox 720 wont beat the next sequel.
As of right now, few games are actually next gen. Few games actually use consoles to their fullest potential - 360 and PS3 alike. If the next Xbox comes out any sooner than 3yrs. that would be premature. Not to mention, if M$ wants to go in the Digital Download route the longer they wait the better. Digital Downloads are still a long way off.

Sony has the best lineup this year, but I can easily see Killzone2 getting pushed back. Socom was supposed to come out in July, but since that was pushed back to the fall I bet this means Killzone 2 will be getting delayed. I'm pretty sure Infamous and The Agency are getting delayed as well.

You can upconvert a dvd all you want, but you'll never be able to get more storage space out of the sucker. Personally, I think that blu ray has stronger implications with gaming than movies at the moment.
What is also important to consider is that Hi-Def 1080p is probably not going to be the final version. Even that resolution will improve over time and Blu Ray players are better equipped to change w/ the tech than an dvd upconverter.
