Its unlikely that they will introduce a new model at this time. Like I just mentioned to Prime, it would be much cheaper and more practical for them to enhance it via updates like the PSP(if possible), introduce some new colors, a new marketing campaign, a price drop, Ps4 integration features, etc.
The money they save doing what I mentioned above would allow them to drop the price of the Vita to $199 permanently and they wouldn't have to release a prohibitively expensive...
I don't like having to agree with you on this, but if the new model is really amazing, you might be right about waiting.
I would buy it ASAP for $199 anyway if I hadn't already found a deal on one.
It is an AMAZING active matrix OLED screen on the Vita, "too low" is relative, and games look STUNNING on the Vita at its current resolution. First you suggest that it is low, then you ask if it is low? Maybe you are trolling?
It's not just resolution that is important, it's the contrast resolution, the colors, sharpness, etc. Which is where the Vita really shines. People should be asking, "what kind of amazing games can I play on it" imo.
The Vita is a beast and more than enough to create amazing portable games.
Btw this is finally a graphics comparison I find somewhat interesting.
At that price this thing will fly off shelves here in the US, especially if they include those specific games.
@Onilink:
"12gb is absurd in this digital age."
It is a value package and offers an absurd amount of value for someone like me who plans to upgrade the HD anyway. Also, a lot of people buy physical copies....
@Caleb: " Probably like 20 bucks."
Haha and I'm happy they're actually getting it...
There is logic in your comments that seems to have been ignored.
The PS4 uses proprietary technology and a unique bus configuration.
Like you mentioned, the Witcher 3 and Planetside are probably going to look fantastic, which is kind of a subjective thing, unless maybe we're speaking technically, which a lot of these people tend to forget.
Also the fact that people are using a comment by IW to back up their opinions about what "vers...
The author conveniently left that out. They're DISQUALIFIIIIED!
If they don't mention the "oversexualization" of the men as wel, they are possibly biased, have an agenda, are actually just jealous, etc.
I don't trust the device myself but you made a few good points there.
It's not a conspiracy, data mining and spying does happen but it's kind of silly to be overly paranoid about it in this day and age.
Also, IMO it's wrong to make using the device mandatory, and simply having it as bundled option would be more sensible, if they haven't changed this yet.
You may be right, but I hope we all learned something today, and I really enjoyed the conversation anyway.
Nothing wrong with a little bit of (somewhat) intelligent (relatively speaking of course) "debate".
Nice change of pace.
I was also kind of puzzled by how many people took your article, made all kinds of assumptions about its meanings/motivations, went off on all kinds of tangents that didn't even seem to be based upon the article, etc.
I appreciate them wanting to elevate the perception of games, but censorship and art don't always work together. For people to say a game is not art because it is "such and such", that would be based upon their subjective definition of art. Therefore th...
Just are reviewers are free to voice their opinions within their reviews, the author is free to give offer his opinion, and you are free to offer your critique of his article. Which of course, based largely on your opinions.
Coincidently, you didn't mention any of the points within the article that may have value, which is ironic considering what was mentioned in the article.
I appreciate your comment and I did learn some things from it. Actually I appreciate all of your ...
I don't really think he is saying that, after reading most of the article so far.
He even went as far as to say:
"Subjectivity within reason."
...which related to one of the main themes of the article, which is that reviews are supposed to be mostly objective, leaving out personal prejudices, bias, agenda, etc. (for the most part)
You are correct that games shouldn't exist in a bubble, but he mentioned that ...
Some flattering drawings of her in the art book, like the one where she's eating with the fork.
Someone needs to take care of all the high-rez dogs running around.
I don't know what it will be like, but the idea definitely has potential.
It's not like I won't be playing Shadow fall, counterstrike, BF4, etc. anyway though.
Oh and the new Socom!!!!
3DS is selling very well so the industry is healthy.
3DS also has some killer software releasing and software is a factor.
Their marketing is pretty good as well.
A lot of us who plan to go next gen are still buying when the price/products are right though, which is another consideration.
I know I'm waiting for a couple price drops and would love to buy a Vita, haha.
Hopefully people will learn not to take the doom/sensationalist a...
I didn't even think of that. Sounds about right and they could (relatively) easily release a discounted next gen version same day.
Not the one with the amazing textures, woof!
The dog runs away at the end, so sad :-(``` `
On a more serious note the game looks pretty good for what it is.
Maybe she wanted revenge.
Personally I've been trying to avoid people more rather than trying to control their behavior.
Not surprised to see an article like this from Kotako for some reason.
They like to play the sensationalist sensitivity game it seems.
Sweet I'll come back and check out this article later.
