“As far as the game and gameplay? Not so much lol. It wasn’t bad in my opinion but the game itself was ok.“
What exactly did the game do that qualifies it for just being ok? And same question for the gameplay?
I’m glad you came to respect Abby and her people. And yeah, that’s thought provoking.
To me, Joel isn’t the best man in that world, neither is he the worst, he just so happens to be a man who’s been dealt a bad hand, a really bad one. And he’s made some questionable calls, immoral ones at that, just like everyone else. And as we saw in Part 2, Ellie for being young in this world has had to grow up fast (as many would in that world) and does some very awful things, not just...
Well said. And with loving Joel, some of his actions in the hospital (like killing the no name guard because he didn’t respond to Joel fast enough about Ellie’s whereabouts ticked me off) but I understand why he did it, NO TIME TO WASTE! Panic mode, needing to find out where Ellie is, nobody would stop him. But also, when he shot Marlene, I was really bothered by that (I liked her) but I also know, had Joel tried to put Ellie in his car, turned his back (he’s to smart to do that with a gun in...
I know some people were upset with Joel lying to Ellie (friends of mine) that they felt it should’ve given the player an option to have Joel either
A. Lie to Ellie or B. Tell Ellie the truth. Type of situation, which just makes no sense. The game nor its story doesn’t given the player any control to have/make any choices that change the direction or outcome of ANY of these characters in this unforgiving and dark world.
I don’t blame Joel for doing what ...
Yes. The beginning and ending…how they break you, make you think , question things etc. so impactful.
And yeah, I have a son (he’ll be going to college here next year) and just feeling Joel’s pain, heartbreak, loss…it hits you differently when you have a kid (s) of your own.
Yeah, Requiem deserves a mention, it’s a MUST PLAY for fans of the first and just for any gamer who loves single player games with amazing storytelling!
I’m glad you loved Sifu as well👍🏼
My list is
1. God of War Ragnarok: Not an easy feat, but a feat accomplished by SMS nonetheless, crafting a sequel to arguably one of the single greatest games of all time in 2018’s God of War reboot, Ragnarok didn’t need to “Reinvent” gameplay AGAIN as some say it did (not at all) it really needed to simply refine, improve, add a few new things, and than polish it all to a fine sheen across the board…all while telling a more mature, stronger story (which offers a good amo...
True words! Their PlayStation’s dev teams will do amazing things this console generation, no doubt.
They don’t need to announce more right now. They need to just stay focused on the game (we as fans/gamers should remain patient) and trust that they’ll announce more and showcase the game, properly, when it’s ready!
I appreciate the approach SMS’s took in their focus and approach with God of War Ragnarok. While we didn’t get much showcased (at least not in the way many of us would’ve liked) I believe it was for the better. The team solely got to focus, on the sequel they ...
Yes, massive game in scope across the board in terms of the games quality offerings and it will be a big success on the PS5 no doubt in sales.
I’m so excited to see the combat system/web swinging, just how that’s evolved, been improved upon etc. I expect a richer and deeper combat system, I assume with a lot more depth to it, thanks to the PS5 and the amazing animators etc at the studio. Can’t wait.
Yeah, Insomniac has delivered with the exclusives, consistently from Marvels Spider-Man 2018/ MM, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, the Remaster to 2018’s game and now Spider-Man 2 in 2023along with their new PS5 exclusive being Wolverine whenever that’s ready. I can’t wait to see Spider-Man 2’s gameplay, so excited! Same with Wolverine, to see how different they are.
They really have gotten better from generation to generation and the quality of their games (and their talent...
Don’t worry about dislikes, it happens to everyone. Basically people disagreeing with you & your opinion.
I don’t agree with The Witcher 3 being overrated, I absolutely love it. But nonetheless, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed RDR2. What an awesome gaming experience from R*
Yeah, RDR2’s world is not only stunningly beautiful, but it’s alive and lived in in a way that no other game really compares to. Really, it should be a blueprint for other devs to take inspiration from so they themselves can try to create something great and unique with the work and details that R* has given for everyone to see and enjoy.
“the “Elden Ring” developers said they want to one up themselves and make something more interesting than “Elden Ring” next time. Do you have a thought of what you want to make next?
I think every developer thinks that. No disrespect. Anybody that sets out isn’t like, ‘You know what I’m gonna do today? Middle it.’
You want to progress the medium forward. Sometimes that’s a leap, and sometimes it’s a step. It doesn’t mean that the leap is better than the step. Sometimes the s...
Ugh, the horror that would be lol.
😂oh please no. It was bad enough seeing them as themselves “trying” to portray Nate and Sully, them as Kratos/Mark and Atreus/Tom would be some awful parody lol.
Right! I would be so over the moon for a GTAIV remake on the new hardware of consoles and PC. Even a RDR one would be awesome. Instead 5 gets touched up again and again, it’s bonkers. And I love/loved it on release and again on PS4, but that’s it. No more!
Yes. The HP video game/Hogwarts experience I always dreamed of playing, now we all might just be witnessing something special and really great with Hogwarts Legacy!
Ugh, you haven’t even scratched the surface of watch either game truly has to offer. I put 200 hours into TW3 (originally) maybe a little more than that on my first go. RDR2 I’ve put in I don’t even know, but far beyond the Witchers 200 hours, no doubt.
You should finish them. You said adored the side quests in the Witcher, well…get to getting with them side quests. NOW! Lol. I don’t think you’ll regret it. And the main quest/story just gets so engrossing too.

Wholeheartedly agree! Goodness, the polish on both games🤯
TLOU2 & Horizon FW, two sequels that improved upon nearly every area of their first games shortcomings (and knowing both games were masterpieces & incredible games) the sequels delivered, again, in wonderful ways, showcasing the pedigree both studios teams have.
2 sequels, that for me, without question stand talk right next to Phenomenal sequels such as Uncharted 2 & Mass Effe...
