If Andromeda hadn’t been left a mess they wouldn’t have to reassure fans that they’re not abandoning this game as well. It’s a shame, because given the CDPR treatment and a few content updates that game might be pretty enjoyable.

I’m not defending BioWare, but the publisher has way more say than you’re suggesting, especially when they have ownership of the developer.

I’d settle for a Vesperia 4K patch.
On one hand, I want him to put some time into the VII remake so I can play it before the next generation. On the other hand, I’m not a huge fan of his work and want him to influence that game as little as possible.
I played Chrono Trigger for the first time a few months ago, and after 25 hours I can confirm the game doesn’t hold up to modern standards. The story was fine, the characters were fine, the visuals were gorgeous, and the battle system was simplistic and underwhelming (but not bad).
Nothing ages quite the way we want it to (although music is often the exception to this), and by hyping things up the way we do we lessen their impact even further.
But you’re assuming everyone either hated it from the beginning or were set on buying it, when the reality is most people don’t belong in either group.

You’re given an almost silly amount of tools but the game is so easy there’s no real reason to use them. I’ve yet to find a purpose for Flowmotion in battle or a reason to pay attention to my Focus gauge, and the abilities are so plentiful and unnecessary they’ve lost their meaning.
Activision went from a company most people were either okay with or had no opinion on to garnering EA-esque levels of hatred in the span of a few months. That’s quite the feat.
