For myself, Resident Evil was dead after I played Silent Hill (1), but that's another story. RE4 simply as a "game by Capcom" was outstanding. As a RE title continuing the series it stuffed it down the drain/booted it into a hole/buried it (but hey, it gave birth to a much better GAME).

I checked the review they gave it and it's a 6.5 out of 10. Whaaaat? The game was incredible for a rental. I say rental because after beating it there wasn't too much to really do with it, but it was one hell of a ride. The characters have better acting than 99% of games released today I find.
I dunno about you guys, but when I see objects in a videogame, I treat it like an actual sculpture. Sculptures are just as much art as a drawing/paintings are (the most common form of art I find). Game assets are those things and more.
Each game to me is more or less an art gallery full of sculptures and paintings. They also provide a great deal of fun which is the most important feature.

Game's gonna be sick. Only complaint is the amount of visual effects going on...They managed to make it really busy considering the lack of light. That won't keep me from saying that this is looking to be one of the best games of 2010 I've seen so far. Awesome stuff.
I dunno why people hate on employees of the companies and accuse them of being a fanboy. It's their job to support these guys. If anything, they're laughing at the average fanboys, the ones who don't make a living off of being one.

Jaffe's great though, I enjoy his blog. He's honest and opinionated and will flash his 360 games on the camera (and sometimes documents related to his game) and not care. He also spearheaded 2 of Sony's big franchises so I think that says a lot to be that cool with the competition. I got a laugh when Kotaku got him to do an interview through a Gears 2 game though.
Hahaha, Jeff Rubenstein? Seriously? I would understand Peter Molyneux, Denis Dyack or Gabe Newell or Cliffy B in Rubenstein's spot. But Jeff? No way!

You don't see this happening to any of Sony's first party or second studios party studios, you don't see Bioware flipping off EA, so what's going on over there? I think it's probably a case of Activision being greedy and the IW heads/employees telling them they deserve better and acting upon it (and rightfully so, their games have been topping the charts this gen).
IW's talent and experience is worth something and I don't think Activision really understands that.

....And on that note: I strongly recommend picking up Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. It's cheap, and packed with games that bring that old feeling back. Sure, there's some real classics missing from it, but after purchasing it I really didn't look back. They even include the arcade versions of some games as unlockables! How badass is that? There's even achievement/trophy support for those of you who like that stuff.

It's at 70% as I speak. I am friggin pumped. The XL mod was pretty cool but got a bit ridiculous later on, I hope this mod keeps everything within bounds. I'm looking forward to the dark setting.. Something I"m definitely going to miss in D3 by the looks of it.
