I tried the 40 fps @ 120Hz mode and it was definitely better than the 30 fps by a long shot. But still, I had to go back to the 60 fps. Hard to go below it unless you just absolutely have to.

It took the OG L4D team to do it but FINALLY a Left 4 Dead-like game that is an actual Left 4 Dead-like game. When I say that I'm referring to all the other games the media call Left 4 Dead-like games that are missing what makes Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead. A versus Mode where it's 4 on 4 where one team gets to be the infected, or the ridden in this case.

I always get excited when web sites say a new Left 4 Dead type game is coming out but they all turn out to just be ...

Yeh the big 3 (Nintendo, Sony and MS) all have drift problems. I wonder if Valve has solved it or if it's just a universal inherent issue with analog sticks.

Maybe all of them already know how the problem is solved but it's too costly. That would explain why even the new oled switch still uses the same problematic joy cons.

Yeh I'm forced to take an hour lunch every work day and that's the only time I play my Switch. But the Steam Deck immediately caught my eye so I luckily managed to reserve it.

It looks like it absolutely blows the Switch out of the water with the horsepower and available game library. For me it'll be my gaming PC and PS5 at home and the Steam Deck at work. That'll make me look forward to those forced lunches =)

It's a misleading title and snippit paragraph saying it's basically a 3rd person borderlands. More like a borderlands style Diablo clone.

While yes it's 3rd person it's not a 3rd person game in the typical sense. They refer to these types of games as isometric. When someone hears third person in gaming terms they think of games like the witcher, tomb raider, ratchet and clank etc.

But more OT this looks pretty generic.

Man do I miss Splinter Cell. And Spies vs. Mercs. Sooooo satisfying getting a stealth kill on a Merc.

I maaaaay have splurged and bought the oled Switch if it had hdr but I can't justify the purchase for the oled alone.

It nags at me that I just paid $8 for a 64gb usb stick which is the same amount of space on the Switch.

I got into Hades from my backlog right before I bought R&C. Dying to play it but I'm still hopelessly addicted to Hades. I did play the first 30 min or so of R&C and was floored by the graphics.

Did you like the first one? It was a 7 at best for me so I passed on this one. But if I hear this one is better then I might give it a shot.

I forgot all about this game but meant to possibly buy it a while back.

Any thoughts on it?

Yeh you have to look at Studios like Naughty Dog and Insomniac just to name a couple. If they originally had to make their games for xbox, PC and Playstation the quality of their games would have undoubtedly taken a hit.

It takes a LOT of time and resources when you're talking simultaneous releases across multiple consoles and PC. That's time that could instead go to fine tuning things.

I think Bethesda may actually end up with an increase in qual...

It even says rendered on the Snowdrop engine at the beginning of the video. Of course that doesn't necessarily translate to the final game looking that good. Ubi has a long history of doing this.

I know it's extremely unlikely but I'm hoping Viewtiful Joe will be one of the 4.

I will never understand how an artist can be so naive to work on something high profile (such as the RE series) copy someone else's work and think it will go unnoticed.

Another example being one of the artists of RE8 who blatantly copied a creature design from that Frankenstein's Army film.

Yep there will always be those types that think the world revolves around them; those who make the ridiculous death threats. That's not usually the kind of thing one grows out of either.

They'll be terrible human beings until the day they die. (And everyone they knew will celebrate)

That's great news. I love the exponential growth of technology. 🤓 And I was lucky enough to get a 3080.

I actually played through Cyberpunk right before Red Dead Redemption 2 which had been on my backlog forever. The difference between the 2 when it comes to the world feeling alive was pretty much shocking. The more I played Red Dead the more I thought back to how much Cyberpunk was missing.

Cyberpunk was decent fun at best but it really feels like more of a framework or early access title than it does a complete game.
