I also agree, but hit disagree too because I thought it would be funny. Realism at the expense of fun stops me from buying a game.
Uhh, why don't you just buy 800 points and 400 points? That costs the same as 1200 points, as it doesn't get cheaper if you buy in bulk and never has. I have no idea why they removed the 1200 option, but no one is getting screwed here. The option to get the same points for the same amount of money is still there.
I think the only fact about Hulu is that we don't know what their business model is going to be. Perhaps they haven't even decided for sure. Every article seems to say something different, except they all agree Hulu will be encouraging us to key in our credit card numbers soon.
Hulu is soon going to be a subscription service in browsers too, or at least that's what all the rumors and articles have been saying for a few months. So a price tag here isn't really surprising, and will probably simply mirror what it costs on the web soon.
I disagreed because I hate carrots. Carrots or discussion thereof have no place on the internets.
Well these conferences were scrutinized and evaluated a year ago. All these articles are re-evaluations.
Well, the video they showed wasn't just something they could throw together the night before the conference. But yeah, it seems like they weren't as serious about the project as they implied. It missed its date, there has been no info, and the xbox.com site for it is busted? Sounds like we shouldn't be expecting to see this again in our lifetimes...
Every time anyone comments about using a console's full power, they are biased.
Game developers want to claim they are pushing the limits because it makes their game sound more awesome.
Console companies want to make it sound as if no one has come near the limits and their console is full of more potential than the other guys.
IMO neither side can really be trusted because both are telling us exactly what they want us to hear. In reality ...
Why does no one seem to notice how tongue-in-cheek this whole article is? He's defending the "betrayers" every step of the way, and making fun of the fanboys who make big fusses about these. On that note, I'm surprised Insomniac was on there but not SE for FF13... there was far more fanboy rioting about that one than any other on the list as far as I remember.
Not necessarily, but I think what makes a game a "classic" is whether it is remembered. Which you just can't judge 8 months after release. :P
Consider yourself corrected:

Acclaimed? Yep. Seems a little early to call it a classic though.
No lag for me either. Though I play mostly late night.
Well, as much as he dwells on the negatives for comedy's sake he definitely does have an opinion and will confess at some point if he thinks a game is very good overall.
Objective reviews are myths anyway. Reviews are subjective. His is just as subjective as anyone else.
Probably because MCV is just another game site and has no authority to confirm anything.
Less than a rumor really, it's just this web site speculating.
I'm sure he meant from a developing standpoint. He's surely played an Xbox before. :P
I'm a big board/card gamer and all these games are great.
Not sure those were... if you click that image on the article that's a little teaser poster thing, it mentions "alien creatures". But they sure do look like them.
Well, all this tells us is it'll be a half-life product. The rest is just the author's assumption.
But yeah, Valve has said from the start that there would be 3 expansion episodes so Episode 3 is a safe guess.
