It isn't a comparison of the game as a whole. Just the promised storytelling aspect. I have Mass Effect 2 for the PC and totally agree with the feelings of the writer here. There is no emotional attachment to the characters in that game. If you don't have an emotional attachment to a story, the storyteller isn't doing their job. Both games are excellent. Both games are totally different. But the one similarity, as given by the creators of the games, isn't executed well in Mass Effect.
It isn't being made anymore so finding one comes down to finding someone that has extras or doesn't want their screen. Very unlikely for me. I've read about it like a 16yr old girl reading about that sprinkly vampire guy.
I'm the moron that bought all four of those games you mentioned. And I want to kick my own a** for the glitchfest and snoredisk.
I've been in this camp forever. If I have systems from the 90's that work, I should be able to hold the 360 accountable for sucking. Being a real gamer isn't about throwing your money away. If 360 worked, I would have had one since the beginning. Unfortunately (for me I take it) it's been too long since the release of the few original games 360 had. The luster has worn off in a serious way (looking at Gears1/2). PS3 has no problem making new games. 360 is having lots of trouble even attemptin...
For the record: I have two PS3s because my family doesn't like me hogging all the HD goodness.
I bet everyone will be clamoring to get the Natal and its super impressive "Balls By The Hundred" game.
More people are playing Halo online right now because there is nothing else to play. PS3 users in large part have moved on to Uncharted or MAG. But there are still Killzone 2 players. It is an outstanding game, even now.
The best part is that playing games like MAG, Heavy Rain, FFXIII (the real version), and God of War 3 back to back to back to back is great. The only sold PS3s that matter are the 2 that I bought. I don't care if those are the only two ever made as long as they keep making games for me.
So let me get this straight. PS3 was too expensive and sucked because of that. Now it's cheaper, and it's a fad and sucks because it's cheaper? Makes complete sense.
If you guys are talking about the Elite Kuro. . .
WHERE? I can't find one to save my life.
Mario jumps and wears suits. If memory serves me correctly, I think he was doing that in 1990. But whatever is new and innovative to you. If it ain't broke, break it and lose your fans. Right?
You're right, dude. We're getting excited about a lie. GOW3 doesn't look like it just looked. When he was ripping out the undead cyclops' eye, when he was impaling the goat-thing's face, when he was fighting Hades. . . All lies.
My kids and I will enjoy it one day. But Kratos.
It's going to be very hard to go against this one. Look at the list of qualities.
1: Storied franchise with ample time between games.
2: Best looking game ever.
3: Great gameplay executed by the team that perfected it.
4: Story made for gaming told by what seems to be Homer himself.
5: Face kicking in first person.
Those other games need some divine intervention.
To be honest, I am worried about the other titles from now on. Is it even possible to match what GOW3 is? I went back to the Alan Wake vid. . . The cutscene environments look kinda close to the real time GOW3. And kinda is being nice. Will KZ3 be able to top this? I sure hope so, but gotdammit will it be hard. I guess since I was saying this same thing about Uncharted 2 a few months ago it may be possible. But is it?
Contender? Is sex in BluRay form coming out in November or something? If not, contender is a slap in the face of greatness.
So how would that work? You sit and control the game with the standard game pad. When a the time comes to open a door you stand up, make a kicking motion, then sit back down?
Does he have anything to do with the whole 8-bit Megaman is cool again thing? If no, color me not interested in his Natal games.
What's with thi new "OMG IT'S LINEAR" thing? Having a purpose is a bad thing now?
You missed the full point. The shoddy hardware put me off initially. By the time they corrected it (have they really?) the games have been surpassed. I'm not particularly keen on playing outdated games. I've seen the best (to date) of Halo and it's old. I've seen comparisons of Gears of War 2 and Killzone 2. I can't take steps backward to Gear of War. Maybe some of the newer games that don't show up on PC will cause a stir and I will jump in. But since the best of the 360 to date is well in t...
