You're right Lonnie (that's not even a real name), there will be no revelotion, because Nintendo is not in the lotion business.
Who named you Lonnie? Sounds like an Asian trying to say Ronnie.
What?! I'm sorry, but you got it all backwards. When Hiroshi Yamauchi died, that's when the old school Nintendo died. When he ran Nintendo, the company always focused on the strength of the hardware.
Iwata (may his good soul rest in peace) is the one that didn't understand the industry and through his decisions put Nintendo in the position they are in now, which is playing catch up to its competitors. And he was alive when Nintendo planned it's foray into the...
LOL! That is the most perfectly timed face ever!
Really great article. It sounds like you and I look at Star fox 64 in the same way. I played through it countless times when I was younger-- in some ways no two gaming sessions were alike. Every branching path took on an identity of it's own, and the game required some serious skill to master.
After purchasing on the 3DS I do the same thing you do and replay it ever now and then. The game is still fun. I can only hope the Wii U version finds a way to replicate the same k...
"Why would we get a new handheld generation this year when we just got the NEW 3DS last year which is supposed to offer even more powerful games and visuals than the previous 3DS?"
The answer to that is 3DS sales are beginning to decline. For the year 2016 (quote from article, link below), "The company is predicting a 34% drop in operating income and a 51% drop in net profits for the year as well."
Some, not all, of Nintendo fans live in t...
@Wonderfulmonkeyman
"Why would they call it a console if it's ONLY a hand-held?
It wouldn't make sense." But if the system is both hand-held and console, then it would make sense.
If Nintendo is ditching the traditional console/handheld formula for a merging of the two concepts, then Nintendo would not be lying by calling it a console.
And let's not pretend that Nintendo always let's us know exactly what they...
I liked Heavy Rain. It's worth playing through more than once, but it is certainly not for everyone. So, there's nothing wrong with someone not into the genre to review the game. There will be people who play the game who will not enjoy it and agree with the review; it's just way the it is with games like this.
IF the rumors are true, the NX won't be more powerful the Xbox One, because the system is portable. However, that doesn't mean it cannot gain back 3rd party support. Good post though.
Hmm, I think it's more of a 7.2 if we're being specific.
If NX launched with the PC version of the Mass Effect trilogy, it would be a day one purchase--assuming the rumors are true and it's an HD handheld with the wireless HDMI dongle. Mass Effect on the go would be amazing for me, because I spend countless hours on my college campus with a lot of downtime.
I would have given it a 7.2
Loss. The word you are looking for is loss. After that loss..you freaking caveman.
If it can regain 3rd party support I think it can attract the gamer demographic outside of the traditional Nintendo fans.
However, since the system (assuming the rumors are true) is a portable platform with a multi-connectable ecosystem that can connect to all of the devices we all are addicted to, it has the potential to attract many non-gamers who love new gadgets. It sounds like Nintendo is trying to reinvent it's image, which is necessary because the Wii brand is no l...
Their stock is currently worth 16.67 USD. It was worth over 70 USD before this generation started. I'm sorry, but by their own standards, this generation has been an abysmal failure.
And the inference here is that this is not a traditional console, but a kind of console/handheld hybrid, which is perfectly timed because it's killing two birds with one stone. Those two birds being relatively flat sales across both of their current platforms. Nintendo already stated rec...
The inference here is that this is a portable system that can connect to the TV via the HDMI wireless dongle. The system would have to be less powerful in order to make it affordable. But if it is in the Xbox One's range, well, that's actually a remarkable achievement. A portable Xbox One on the go, easy to port to, connects to every device, can be played on the TV, and with that--Nintendo exclusives? And Pokemon will be by default playable on the big screen in HD. It becomes the only...
So, it's going to flop, because...you don't have a good feeling about it...well your cogent argument has convinced me. I think the console is going to flop based off of my feeeelings!
Did the article confirm wireless 1080p? For some reason I can no longer access the article. But assuming the system is near the strength of the Xbox One, well that system struggles with 1080p at times, so wouldn't it stand to reason that it's either 720p to 900p? Not that, that's a bad thing for a handheld. The concept sounds awesome to me.
You are so correct, but most won't see the irony in your statement.
I agree with you. But try this, it makes fps feel normal on the vita.

Yeah, we need to watch out for Lonnie18, he's about to have a revelotion.
