Same here. I have a nice gaming pc but I know my friends will only have it on Xbox. Plus I am still not great with the keyboard ( I still use the xbox controller for movement and the mouse for aim on BF3 PC)
While they take a loss on the system, I am pretty sure they make a few bucks on the peripherals such. Not to mention the money on games that come with the renewed interest with a new system.
I thought they went back to the first game formula(?) It was much scarier THINKING something was coming. The second one was less scary because there was always something around the corner so you started to expect it.
I am all for a new Dead Space. After growing tired of RE games and SilentHill, I have really enjoyed DeadSpace. I don't think the work bench needed this but who knows. I don't like the suit much. I think the last ones looked cooler but I am sure it will change before release.
I would wager it is a pc built around the rumored specs and therefore he is just calling it a 720 dev kit to boost sale price.
1200 ms points for MW3 pack #3? I would like to see some reduction of these packs now that it has been out for a long while. Even 800 points would be nice.
I agree with finding the games other ways but I would still lose ability to play online right?
Yes the Dlink Powerline adapter would have been perfect for this. I bought it to get internet to my garage suite and although I was skeptical at first, it works better than I could have hoped. Plus you can just move them around or take them with you to the next place. A little research would have done this fellow good.
I have switched to pc gaming for such games as BF3 but I am sure I will return to consoles when the next gen comes out. I still play BF3 with a controller for movement and mouse for aiming and now I find it hard to go back to just controller. The cost of PC gaming hardware is just too much since I spent $1400 on a mid/high end rig which is really too much compared to consoles but the allure of the higher rez and larger servers was just too much of a temptation.
you MIGHT want to re check that. It was on the xbox first and then on the 360.
I too switched to PC this year because I was tired of waiting for a new console. I have BF3 for both PC and xbox and there is no real comparison even discounting the graphics. That is not to say the xbox is not fun but like you said about 64 players, it is just so much better.
I will get one of the new consoles because I like sitting on the couch and the seamless integration of media but for now I will stick to PC
Wasn't Battlefield 2 released on both the old xbox and the 360? I have both so yes , yes it did.
I agree that neither Sony or MS would let such a lead time to Nintendo.
I personally would like to see new hard ware every 5 years. The first year is always great to get used to the hardware and the best games come out in the 3rd/4th year. I have been a console only gamer for 20+ years but this year I caved and got a nice pc just to play BF3. To me that means time for some more powerful consoles.
I am surprised it is not a base fee plus profit share. Seems like that would be the best way to support it and push creativity.
Other than wall destruction, Close quarters is too close to MW3 so I will give it a miss since I already own that. Large maps and big player count is what brought me back to PC gaming so I am in for that.
Nothing. I am 38, who am I going to brag to??
Laser guided rockets will be avoided with flares? I will never be able to take down a good pilot now :(
At first I thought "good" , keeps them from releasing buggy games somewhat, but I think I would rather a slightly buggy game rather than waiting an extra 2-3 months. Besides you just can't get all the bugs out without stress testing it with gamers. Maybe they just need to re tool their pricing for indie devs. It is not like the makers of CoD and Bf can't afford 40k.
uhggg. I don't like playing on tablets BECAUSE of the controls so I can't see liking this. I assume normal control support too but is that going to muddle game design?
I remember how cool it seemed in the early 90s but it was pretty lame in practice. I could see it in racing games but I don't want to be spinning around playing Battlefield 5!
I DO like the wearable sets like sony has because I could game in my recliner with a big screen and not bother the rest of the family. I was very tempted with the sony HMZ but after hearing about the comfort and the cheap straps I will wait to see what they (or others) will come out with next.
