I agree. I still use my 360 controller on pc games even though I could use the DS4. mostly because the 360 controller is natively supported in a lot of pc games. this gen I went with ps4 and have gotten comfortable with the DS4 but I have held/played the xbox one controller in store and it feels pretty good.
I absolutely hated the ps3 controllers for fps but I really like the DS4 now that I have gotten used to it. Can't say I have ever gotten any good use out of the touch pad on it but it feels nice and light to hold.
Well a big plus for me is the local co-op campaign. My son loves to play with me. Taking a bit to get used to not being able to jet forward/down/ side like in advanced warfare. I liked the kill streaks better in AW because you could customize each one. I am not good at getting kill streaks so it is hard to get them with out dying. In AW I could make it so even if I died I could get some eventually. I like it overall but had some server connection issues for the first couple of hours.
I am generally happy with consoles but I definitely would have been happier with a bit more power. I would gladly pay $600 for a console that was more powerful but I understand the price point they are aiming for. When you have a set piece of hardware developers are able to get great results. I mean considering what the ps4 and Xbox one are, it is pretty impressive what they can do. I really hope systems like the steam box take off since maybe we can get the benefits of both worlds.
I don't know what connection you have but it takes a couple hours to dl a game for me. If you have a low data cap then downloading a couple of games can really eat into it. I wish you could at least move the games to an external even if you can't play them off it and then move it back over later.
I have seen a few $349 deals here in Canada the last few weeks. Best buy had the Master Chief bundle with spark for $349.I think that actually is less than $299 US with the current exchange rate. Still want $549 Canadian for the Halo5 bundle though so I will hold off. *edit: I didn't notice the extra controller so if you like fallout then it is definitely a good deal.
San Andreas was such an improvement gameplay wise. I got V just to try out my new GPU but I only played it for about an hour before I got bored.
Look at Star wars Battlefront. $89(Canadian) for the game and $49 for the season pass. Crazy expensive! But in online games like MW advance if you don't get the new maps it is hard to find a match. I bought the new map pack because every mode said no games found except team death match. Titan fall seem to have it right where it eventually is free (on pc, don't know about Xb1)
I feel more like a sap when I don't buy it and spend $30 on the first 2 DLC before realizing the money I would have saved. I wish you could get a bit of a discount for season pass if you bought dlc but I guess that is the point.
with out the gamepad I don't see how this is a threat to N.
I love dolphin for wii but it is not like it is expensive to buy the wiiU and you get the gamepad. dolphin was great because you could bump up the resolution to something that looked decent. By the time this is useable the wiiU will be $100.
Cool idea but I would like to see it come with the game for that price.
is this on the new controller or the first gen ones?
I personally don't split screen on computer but it does seem too expensive if you can only link one controller. I guess you could make your friend use a wired controller. I hope it is not just a marketing choice because it might put off the people who at least want the option of multiple controllers. I have my computer hooked up to my plasma as a second screen and it is great for gaming but for me it is only 5 ft away and I am cheap so I use a wired 360 controller.
I tried using the 360 controller and did terrible. The only game that I found the controller was somewhat comparable was TitanFall. I like the mouse control but movement using the keyboard feels to awkward to me (mainly a console gamer)
I got totally burned out playing bf4 and was ready to dislike this game. I played it because it was a free beta and found myself enjoying it. Not sure if I will drop the money for it when it comes out but if the price drops I will consider it. I tried it on both ps4 and my gaming rig (maxed) and the ps4 version definitely held its own in graphics. I am not too good at k/m so if I do pick it up it will be on the ps4.
Sorry my bad. I thought it was gone all together.
My kid is 11 an has been gaming since he was 2. I usually play with him and we mute any player that swears or just plain annoys. Now that he is older he does play more on his own and with friends but I am glad to see even if he is watching youtube game videos he is quick to close it if there is swearing. I know he does not do it because I am around because I have observed him playing/watching with his friends. I think I have done a good job with him and he in turn has a good grasp of what is ...
@DragonKnight. HST has been gone for awhile.
It was crazy. I was just looking at my 15 N64 games the other day after playing Mario Party with my kids. Thinking "man each of those games was over $80 canadian and the system was about $350 too. That is alot of money spent sitting there!" Not to mention the expansion cart for memory adn the extra controllers. I am almost scared to tally up all my old games and systems I still have. Probably could have bought a sweet car or a down payment on a house!
xbox 360 had a model specifically designed for kenect so it doesn't seam odd that Sony would do something similar for vr.
