RE5 was developed from the start with --> Co-op gameplay as a MAIN feature. Killzone 2 never was.
You CAN NOT just add co-op afterwards without basically remaking the entire game for the feature.
While RE5s graphics match Killzone 2s... the lighting never did constantly - and that's what really sets Killzone 2 apart from most games.
Wait for co-op to be a feature in Killzone 3.
