Well if you've been gaming on a PC for a while then the cost is far lower and in many cases nothing.
Consoles are struggling to reach a resolution that PC gaming has had for years, that's not what I would call "powerful".
PC has its downsides, sure, but power isn't one of them.
Spite purchasing? Really?
Yea yea, don't ban the ridiculous game, fine, but purchasing a game even partly based on other's reaction to it, further proves that gamers are awful consumers.
We are slaves to marketing to such a degree, that we actually attack anyone that disparages the games we love.
You're generalizing an entire group based on your one friend.
Are there women who like scantily clad female characters that shoot stuff? Sure.
But that doesn't mean there should be no attempt to at least try, to some small degree, to cater to the women that don't necessarily find the "chain-mail bikini" sexually attractive.
Somebody with an opinion!!
Clearly this is an attempt to take my games. Time to battle it out in 140 characters or less!!
I'm not worried about the mainstream media (at least in the US) talking about the game. Games are protected speech and a billion dollar industry, they aren't going to be restricted. The ESRB (If they get involved) could rate it in such a way that it won't see a retail release, but it will likely be digitally available. They will get their shot.
However, I dislike the "shock" marketing thing. Like its making up for their complete lack of ideas by pulling ...
Yes, we are all tolerant here, can't you see. One big happy gaming family.
Not liking the font size.
Its called Maxim, and literally every other magazine that discusses men's issues.
Why does it need to exist? ^look up^ that's why.
In other words reviews should just agree with you.
I know why do we just give a 9/10 to every game so everyone will agree? Ohh that won't work, gamers will still disagree.
Damned if you do damned if you don't.
A review filled with "opinions"? LOL. What is the world coming to.
A developer continuing to make their game and isn't ashamed by the criticism leveled against it? That's weird.
All it takes is simple stubbornness to overcome the "thought police"? I guess that explains why they are so ineffective.
Good on them for standing by their work, but that doesn't mean it will be any good.
True test will be 'if' its not good, who will they blame? Themselves or the "thought police&qu...
Well, the demand may help focus the market on lower cost options. I don't know what specifically, but we'll have to see.
This is just a long term thing, shooting for instant adoption of VR is bound to fail. Building it over time carefully is the best option.
@spartanlemur
Forcing your nonsense agenda and targeting advertisers with the intent of closing certain websites because they have opinions that hurt your precious little ears is censorship.
Get your facts straight there #derpgate
@AKS
Well if you consider these journalists all powerful and pushing an agenda I kind of have to wonder why they are doing such a terrible job.
I mean sure if you ignore actual reality, listen to youtubers saying "words" these SJW-elite-skilled-gaming mind-control-assassins do seem pretty scary, until you realize they haven't actually done anything, GTA? This?
Pretty strange how the PC police don't seem effective at all huh?...
Of course it isn't, unless you say anything, then we show you ladies the door, so us manly gaming men can go back to crying our eyes out over a couple of pixels.
Maybe we could just all agree that you can criticize something and even choose to not actively support a game while maintaining its right to exist.
@danowat
No, no it actually doesn't. You would have to know the definition of "vaporware" first, which you didn't.
It's that or trolling.
@morganfell
Art is speech, so no there isn't a difference. I mean legally what you are saying is wrong, like all wrong.
Well making it demons or zombies would just make it pointless.
Seriously, let the 24hr News networks have something to talk about. They can consider it a gift.
Games are protected speech any way, so just laugh as they rant over it. Maybe we'll get to see ole Jack again. The look on his face will be worth it.
Always online stuff aside, the game is much more fun. Fun enough to eclipse the DRM IMO.
They confirmed it.
Sony got it timed exclusive. A PC version was always in the works.
