Seriously doubt this person was referring to HL3. I have always maintained that Valve hadn't 100% abandoned the franchise, but this seems very...uninformed?

Valve is a pretty strange company, structurally. I doubt anyone there has the authority to what is and is not in the works at any given time.

While its certainly been shelved a Source 2 debut maybe what they are waiting for...Or not.

They've never really explained why they shelved HL3. Most cancellations give some explanation or have some reasoning behind it. Half Life has none really.

And retail the publisher get something like ~40% versus 70% with Steam.

This is a terrible article. No real information, just two sentences cherry picking from another source.

Pretty sure CDPR said the game itself was 100% complete.

This assumes they aren't profitable. You do realize there is little to no overhead for digital sales right?

How does abandoning a very large community make good business sense?

In the top ten most play games on Steam, Skyrim is 7th, with ~33,000 players. Don't assume that Bethesda isn't benefiting quite a bit being on Steam.

Blizzard is a different beast, they've had control over their own community for years. EA has a larg...

Umm yes it is.

Unless of course this is a world in which random person A has some authority on my opinions.

In all seriousness, opinions are opinions, good on the author for having one, but a less douchey title might be in order.

Japanese Americans received reparations.

Native Americans did receive land and sovereignty to a degree, Its not perfect, but casinos have improved some tribes.

Jews after WWII got a country, stipend from the US, and the unwavering fealty of our politicians.

African Americans got...to not be owned, to fight in a war so whites could continue owning them, got freedom, then spent a few decades being terrorized, th...

Really? Proving your point would be you listing off all these mysterious scams. Real scams too, you know the deliberate kind.

Go ahead, prove your case. show us these "hundreds" of cases where developers took money to develop a game and DELIBERATELY ran with the cash.

I'll wait, got one bubble left so make it count.

You Hatred sheeple make me laugh. Like, you don't even care about "quality", you just want to make people you don't even know angry lol.

Exploring art...LOL, you all are a riot. Acting like he took a "stand", ha ha.

Ooo, I bet you're gonna get mad if Hatred gets any thing less than 100%? Because "art", man. Art never sucks.

Hatred devs are just getting ready to cry foul at every negative review. These guys don't care that the game they're defending is bad, which should tell you a lot about their priorities.

@Christopher
Well it was 50% since the game is a buggy mess. Furthermore, this is Reality Pump, every line of dialog in Two Worlds is offensive because it so terrible. This is no different. Sure bring these issues up in games, but have a little respect for them by not doing a...

And Reality Pump isn't know for their writing ability. Two Worlds was beyond bad. But way to stand up for a crap game.

This has nothing to do with realism, the writing is crap. Throwing in the edgy stuff doesn't somehow make you historically accurate.

You all are as bad as those SJW's you claim to be disgusted with. Blatantly defending crap because you can't handle different opinions. There's something to be said for treating subjects lik...

Yea but Skyrim + DLC would then be demoted to not open. Same with Fallout.

In fact the major towns in Skyrim were all gated off from the world.

That's the problem with defining "open" as entirely gateway free.

So basically there's nothing to be sad about, Skyrim and Fallout did exactly the same thing.

@PoSTedUP

Sorry but no. GT is not a sim, its an approximation. Upgrading a car in GT is a guess. A good guess but a guess.

You are still treating the word "sim" like it has to do with quality. By your standard Project Cars is a sim. Trying to accurately simulate a real-life car is what? A sim. Its not subjective at all. GT is a sim right up to the point it adds fantasy upgrades to their list of over a thousand cars.

Just because y...

I did quite a bit of spinning out in Assetto Corsa, So I guess that game sucks to.

Unless of course my own driving ability doesn't properly reflect the quality of a game, in which case it could be that I'm a crappy driver.

3776d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

GT is not a sim. It does just enough to maintain a degree of realism while also being able to give players the choice of over a thousand different, upgradable cars.

The intent of Project Cars is to simulate real-life cars. Just like Assetto Corsa and other actual sims. You can't upgrade them because then you have no real world template.

This is not the intent of GT. I'm not saying that because GT is not a sim that it is bad, not at all. Its a great ra...

Even though the translation is off, there's nothing about it being banned. It sounds as if it was put on a list for consideration.

The intricacies of such a development would probably take up more that a few short paragraphs. Surely, if Dying Light were actually Banned (as in literally pulled from the stores and Steam) there would be more information on the matter?

Title is entirely misleading and in fact posting this is wrong to begin with as it lacks an...

Would have preferred that the role of Inquisitor wasn't so cookie-cutter. Would like to see separate back-stories for each race/class return.

That beige Inquisitor suit drove me nuts as well. Seriously, beige?

On the whole though its better than DA2.

GT is not an actual "sim". Its an approximation, a fine one, but that's where it ends.

You simply can't offer the extreme detail of a sim for over 1000 cars that can be upgraded. It has to be fudged a little.

Sims go into great detail on real life cars. Every little quirk related to that one specific setup. They can't be upgraded because then you just have to guess what the performance impact is. (Upgrades and adjustments are 2 entirely ...
