IGN - Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection Review

Oh well great score. Awesome to see Eurogamer and Destructoid giving it 9s and higher. So far IGN is the only score under a 9.

It's still the same ICO and SotC who took players into the realm of loneliness and epicess back in the days of PS2. Even if IGN give a 3 score, you can't deny how awesome it is..

Trust me even if you hadn't the chance to play it back then then by all means try this collection!!

Even today this game BLOWS out most of this gen games out of the water.

Well, I have a magazine at home that is from when SoTC released and it was a 2/5... I think it was something stupid like Blender. Just makes me laugh when you look at the other reviews for it.

I can't wait to try these out. No score can sway me.

I could not have said it better myself, these games are unreal in so many ways. I dont usualy care about scoring but these games desire 10 without doubt. What are they playing at f**** muppets.

I bet if it was mario, zelda, halo or some other milked franchise made for the 10th time they would be oh sh*t quick hand out the 10's.

Anyway thats my rant over, I just love these games and they are to me everything that is right about games.

It seems one one hand they will score based on the quality of the remastering. On the other, they will judge the game to match this current-gen standards. Rating both in separate context could easily have scores fluctuating based on the reviewers preference.

As for being the top site for game reviews, I was at least HOPING they would have the budget to review the 3D aspect of the game which they failed to emphasize. I can't help the feeling but noticing the reviewer wanted us to follow through his pace as if we common viewers were oblivious to the game itself.

No Sony exclusive will see a score higher than 8.5 on IGN. I sign onto xbox live and see IGN's videos all over the dashboard. Do people really think their give going to give fair scores to they're contractors main competitor? just ignore IGN, game trailers and gamespots scores for 1st party exclusives. The scores usually are determined by who they currently have a media contract with at that given time. You kids don't do enough research and put too much stock into these game site reviews.

After watching that video I am seriously hyped for this game.

I still remember seeing the original ICO being demoed at a local game store 10 some odd yrs ago and I was blown away with the way it looked. Then when I actually got a chance to play the demo for a while I was hooked to the gameplay; something about hold hands with another character and guiding them through a "labyrinth" of obstacles. I was like "so this is a PS2 game", and I always had a high regard for that game since (and Shadow of the Colossus).

So seeing the HD PS3 version of the ICO intro just zapped me back to when I first saw the game (or a PS2 game for that matter) and I am now officially getting this day one.

Great job SONY and TEAM ICO.
