Short Pause: "In honor of the 10-year anniversary of Shadow of the Colossus, we here at Short Pause would like to take a few moments to reflect on why this game is so groundbreaking, and why all gamers owe it to themselves to play it."
It shames me to admit that I never played this game, and I even own the PS3 remastering of it. I don't think I've ever met one person who spoke ill will of this game. Would love to try to squeeze it in this winter as it sounds like its worth doing so. Nice article, you can tell the author is very passionate about SotC
You should really play it. Its amazing. The story, the soundtrack, the Colossi, the environemt. They were just beautifully well done.
If The Last Guardian captures that amazing feels that Shadow Of The Colossus had, then we are looking at one of the best games this gen. 2016 is gonna be amazing.
Horizon: Zero Dawn The Last Guardian Dark Souls 3 Ratchet&Clank Dreams Uncharted 4 Street Fighter V Persona V FFXV Star Ocean V Resident Evil Zero HD No Man's Sky Deus Ex: Mankind Divivded
Its looks like its gonna be a classic year. And my wallet will be very sad.
I'm in the same boat here. I have a friend who raves about that game any time it comes up in discussion. It was his gateway to games like Monster Hunter.
To me this game helped solidify my love of art and video games. It goes beyond a game and becomes a life experience. It's hard to explain. But I obviously love this game so much.
It's such a bittersweet moment every time you defeat one of the colossi. It's both sad and triumphant at the same time. But, not all of them are so gentle. Some of them are fierce!
Although some might have missed it, this was part of the commentary of this game. It truly IS a bittersweet moment when, after all of the muss and fuss, you fell the "beast". The art, the music...just the moment itself can take you completely...if you let it. These games that evoke emotion are the ones that resonate with me the most. These moments, as a gamer, stick with me for a lifetime of gaming.
