PlayDevil went hands on with the Metro 2033 sequel at Gamescom:

"Descending underground alterations and tweaks were quickly clear. Defensive darkness could be achieved not just by shooting out the lights, but also by unscrewing the bulbs, AI seemed less able to home in on the player and stealth seemed to have become a more realistic option as a way to move through the game."

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!
