GeForce.com writes, "GeForce.com's Andy Burnes had the opportunity to interview 4A Games' Studio Communications Lead Huw Beynon at the Gamescom 2011 show floor. The pair went into a deep discussion regarding performance and gameplay tweaks for one of the best-looking games we've ever seen, Metro: Last Light. "
A look back at 4A Games' admirably consistent post-apocalyptic shooter franchise.
The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.
4A Games celebrates the 10th anniversary of its first-person shooter by offering it free for a week.
PPl don give this developers respect ,,,, they r pushing the tech all the time but ppl r always talkin abt cry engine or bf3 engine .... that screen filled wth thousands of broken cars , the other one filled wth ppl .... gives us the idea of wht tessellation can bring
Oh a single GTX 590 is that all, well at least the game looks godly with that much power. My 5770 is going to cry if it tries to run it.
:D
" However, 4A Games was able to run an alpha build of Last Light on a single GeForce GTX 590 smoothly in 1080p with all the bells and whistles enabled."

Great news, pretty much confirms day one purchase for me then. Props for the developers!
I can barely run 2033, so Im afraid wont be getting this day one. sigh...
Hopefully there will be a demo on steam that I can try out and see how it runs.
