Destructoid - Shadows of the Damned is an absurd game, but it's an absurdity so delicious in delivery that one can't help throwing common sense to the wind in order to just go with it. Despite being Grasshopper's most "normal" game on many levels, Damned somehow manages to be the most memorable, idiosyncratic and preposterous game the studio has ever developed -- yet while it revels in its own weirdness, it never once excludes the player. Unlike many "odd" games on the market, Damned wants you along for the ride, every step of the way.
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
Game Rant talked to Suda51 about a potential sequel to Shadows of the Damned, and here's what he had to say.
Man, I’d love to get a sequel. I wish that’s was this was instead of a remaster, but it’s such a niche title. It won’t sell gamgbusters, unfortunately.
Electronic Arts has announced a number of server closures in the coming months, including Apex Mobile and the 2012 Syndicate reboot.
Syndicate's big saving grace will soon be erased for good. I'll give *some* credit to EA in keeping servers up for 10+ years.
Oh yeah, an actual cyberpunk game. I have fond memories of the old bullfrog Syndicates.
Syndicate was a fun and high quality late PS3 fps that got swallowed in the sea of fps at the time. It was short and it didn't innovate but it had good visuals and fun combat. Starbreeze i believe. Rip Torn and Rosario Dawson.
finished the game, sucks i didnt get the "beat the game in easy mode" trophy since i finished on normal. oh well, i guess im playin 3 times. really worth it. reminds me of zelda bosses
What?!?!?!?!? Jim gave a game a high score? I started playing last night, also started Fear 3. Both are pretty good games. I don't like the fact that objects aren't destructible in SotD, though.
