After fifteen years, nine official games, two feature films, a shooter with a top view and one "reboot" that will released in the end of the year, Lara Croft arrived on PlayStation 3 with a magnificient Trilogy. Square-Enix follows the path taken earlier by Sony Computer Entertainment (God of War Trilogy) and then by Ubisoft (Prince of Persia Trilogy and the upcoming collection of the first three Splinter Cell)...
They say good things come in threes. That would explain why these trilogies are amongst the best in the industry.
I like the Ezio trilogy and the ME trilogy but I also love the Xenosaga trilogy and Ar Tonelico trilogy.
My personal favorites would be the GoW trilogy (both Gears & God), the original halo trilogy, Streets of Rage trilogy, Super Star Wars trilogy, Metroid Prime trilogy
Xenosaga! I’d say games like Suikoden or Ys but they went beyond three games.
Looking back at Crystal Dynamics uneven 2006-2008 Tomb Raider Trilogy - breezy action, beautifully remastered tombs, and a buggy finale.
EB: Way back in 1998 Silver Films produced a live-action short based on the Tomb Raider trilogy for the launch of Tomb Raider III, but it never saw the light of day outside of being shown at the Natural History Museum in London for the event. Until now.
