Skydance Games posted an important update regarding Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra on X stating the game is now targeting an "early 2026" launch.
With Great Source Material And Uncharted's Writer Working On It, It Has The Potential To Be The Next Big Marvel Release!
While the visuals look stunning, I'm curious about the gameplay. Will it feel more like Hellblade where it feels like mainly
story/cutscene driven? Or more Uncharted/TLOU with simple but solid gameplay mechanics?
I'm pretty sure we are not getting a Dark Souls type here where combat mechanics are king. Seems to be a more story driven game looking at all the focus on characters.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has just formally been announced, and we get a new story trailer and tech demo alongside cast info.
IGN: "We already knew that Amy Hennig, the award-winning writer and director behind games such as Jak 3 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, was working on a narrative-driven Marvel game focused on Captain America and Black Panther. And today, we finally learned some new details, including its official title: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. It'll arrive sometime in 2025. Kicking off State of Unreal 2024, Skydance Media unveiled the first trailer for the game, which you can check out below."
I mean I assume everything here is in engine and there does seem to be some in game footage. It looks really good. I think this is what people were expecting from the gen in terms of visuals after the initial Unreal Engine 5 footage shown back in 2020.
You can never do too wrong with cinematics, but gameplay, on the other hand 🤔 that's what will determine the fate of this game
Of course we haven't seen or heard anything about the game for awhile now.
It´s a game from Amy Hennig after all.
I have no doubt it´s gonna be high quality on release.
The marketing on this has to ramp up soon then. Been dead quiet since UEFest 2023?
This was a thing?
Never heard of this... Got delayed... Ok, back to clair obscur
