"Why all the Sony hate? I don't get it, but then maybe that is because I am not a butt-hurt Sony-PS3-hacker. Anonymous can say all it wants about censoring and freedom of speech and privacy... but at the end of the day we all know this is the PS3 hacker community being pissed off that their illegal pirated games no longer work on their PS3's. Lets just call a spade a spade here. Anonymous, you do not have the sympathy of people like me." Quote: John Kirby
Dr. Serkan Toto says: While things do not look great for many studios in the West, things are very different in Japan – and I was shocked how little people in the industry still know and understand about the third biggest gaming market in the world (which is a probably a positive for a Japan game industry consultant like myself).
Honestly, it looks about the same if we are measuring a company's success on their all time high stock price. It has nothing to do with the sentiments some in the industry have.
Objectively the two biggest problems are cost cutting and consolidation.
Sony has published a new patent pertaining to unique lip-sync evaluation and fixing system to automatically fix NPC mouth movements to align them with the original dialogue’s timing, resolving sync issues.
This lip sync thing sounds pretty awesome. But one cannot shake the feeling, this is going to be combined with AI, and….. sigh
A new patent published by Sony discusses PlayStation controllers that are solar-powered, with the ability to charge the battery under light.
Mine would never run out of juice thanks to my glowing personality......
My Samsung TV remote charges on solar-power or artificial lights. Or a USB if needed. The tech is hopefully getting better so it can charge a gaming controller.
Anonymous should hack my City Hall computer. Thats because I own a house and I wanna paint it Pink with yellow spots and the bastards wont let me. They say I need a permit for that and they wont give it to me because it will cause an urban disarray in the architectural plan of the city. Bu... but I thought the house and land was mine! I just wish I could install a custom homebrew solution for that. *shrugs*
On topic, these guys are what the article states, they are "internet tough guys" that wont even go to their Sony stores to protest. I bet even GeoHot wont show at a store protesting.
That pic is funny as hell. Love it.
Anonymous you are less then nothing, up until recently I worked for Amnesty International people that truly fight for our human rights. You want to help a cause why not help them instead of yourselves or a whiny little child like George?
I could not agree more. Thank you.
Its still early in the day and the "hacker" types prolly havent woken from their taco bell/kinkos 3rd shift yet so let me just say... The next time (yes next time cause unfortunately you'll find some new way to mayrtr yourselves. Being the self important leet speaking internet batman you all think you are) try instead, using your hacking talents on shi* that matters. Expose and take down cyber pediophiles, or Omar Kadafis government network. Maybe use your "talents" to expose bias journalism via email from over zealous editors to their staff. *Caugh* Fox News. All of these effect more people negativly than Sony protecting their IP. BTW its funny how your all over sony for this. If we are going by your weak @** "logic" You should of attacked the FCC for charging and taking down pirates for torrenting data from a multiple variety of media. To use your other claim of free speach as an exuse for harassing innocent PSN users and Entry lvl SONY store employees keep in mind pirate radio stations are also illegal and television and movies are highly censored as well. Ask any SAG member. So to close up ANON....STFU
