Gears of War 3 Beta Available to all Xbox Live Gold members!

To the surprise of Bulletstorm Epic edition owners, Gears 3’s beta will be available to all Xbox Live Gold members in mid-April.

Anyone that pays $60 dollars for a game, just to get into a beta, is silly and should be mad at themselves, lol. And for the people saying they're mad because they bought the Epic edition, whats the difference? All forms of the game are the same price. Well Bulletstorm is still a good game. But it is kind of dumb that everyone will be able to play the beta without Bulletstorm. I thought it would be like the Halo Reach beta.

BulletStorm is a great game. Just finished it. It's probably about 6-7 hours long (just my guess... wasn't counting), but it was the most fun I've had in a FPS for quite some time.

Lot's of explosions, stupid jokes, high testosterone, mutants, big guns, sexy girl, great gameplay... reminds me of Michael Bay movies... mindless fun.

Tried the bulletstorm demo didn't like it, but gears 3 will be a beast. Can't wait to try out the beta. Very cool that everyone gets to try it and give feedback.

Epic edition didn't cost any extra and I'm loving the game, I didn't buy it just for the beta, the beta is just extra I still would've bought the game regardless.

This only makes sense, maybe since they open it up to everyone Gears 3's multiplayer won't be such a mess like Gears 2. They need all the help they can get after that.

I agree...BulletStorm is a great buy. A very creative take on a worn out out genre. I have come to notice that people who dislike this game can't play it and what I mean by that is that they are use to seeing the AI and shooting; almost instinctual. BulletStorm ask that you get creative with the kills...nothing more. It's really quite simple, kick the AI into a cactus and receive 100 plus points or shoot like you are playing COD and get 10...your choice. The multiplayer requires team work or you will not advance to the next wave. I appreciate what People Can Fly and Epic are trying to do, it's a much need change.

Looks like the proverbial wool was pulled over many peoples eyes, courtesy of EA, Epic Games and People Can Fly. Glad I didn't buy this game. I know many people that bought the game just for this, and aren't even enjoying Bulletstorm. Sucks to be them is all I can say.

I bought BulletStorm because the game looked sick, now that I've beaten it once, which took me around 10 hours, not the 4-5 that the butthurt fanboys are suggesting, I can safely say the game is definitely worth the price.

I got the game for the Gears 3 beta and for the game itself, so I don't feel let down in any way. I'm happy the beta is going to really be able to let Epic know what to fix ahead of time ect... Gears 3 is going to truly be amazing.

Simply put, the game is scoring better then KZ3. All I've seen the last few days is people complain about the BulletStorm campaign, when you look at their past comments, there big PS3 fans and Killzone fans.

I rented the epic edition of BS and I got a online pass/beta code with it. That code does get 25K points and a special leash color for BS multiplayer, not sure if thats the type of items your talking about.

I really enjoyed BS, I thought it took around 8-10 hours for me to finish, not sure tho.

True. I have to admit that I bought Zone of the enders back in PS2 days just to get MGS2 demo. Which was awesome, but it also was the best part of the game, and rest of the product didn't come as good.

But what I found nice surprise, was that ZoE was amazing game, and what I have heard BS is also damn fun game. After trying the demo, it felt "ok", but now that I have seen peoples comments after they have finished i, I believe I'm going to pick up a copy at some point...

i've been having the crappiest of all weeks. my wife has been sick and unable to work costing us a few hundred bucks and my tax lady told me my income tax return would've been in over a week ago - it wasn't and i still haven't got it and we could really use it right now. with it, i was planning on buying Bulletstorm (and Killzone 3). but now that i know THIS, i'll be RENTING Bulletstorm, for sure. i hear it's campaign is only like 5 hours long anyway.

as for Killzone 3 - oh, that's an absolute buy just as soon as i get my taxes back.

I dont have Xbox Live gold anymore, sure I will not upgrading to Gold just for the beta and since im bored of Gears 1 online and Reach now.

Gonna wait until the full game ships, and if the game is better than Gears 2 online, never had so much trouble with an online as Gears 2 with no weapons, lag and so on.
If these 2 are ok to go then I can renew it ;)
