ZeroTolerance Writes: Over the years, Mario has starred in more sports games than most professional athletes. From tennis to basketball and even a small stint in soccer, our famed plumber is quite the sports connoisseur. His latest endeavor is a sort of compilation of several sports combined with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters and developed by none other than Square Enix. Yeah, I shrugged my shoulders at that as well. What we end up with is a mediocre collection of events that lack the charm of previous Mario sports games, while also not quite being feature-rich enough to be classified as a mini-game compilation.
BLG writes: "The world’s favorite plumber is also a huge sports fan. When he’s not busy stomping goombas, you can find Mario hitting the links, swinging his tennis racket, or playing some street soccer with his pals. Mario sports games have a long history, dating all the way back to the original NES. Some have been home runs. Others were a swing and a miss."
The ‘Mario Sports’ trademark has been registered by Nintendo for Europe and Australia. The two listings for the Mario Sports trademarks in Europe and Austraila were both registered on May 20, 2020.
